Would really like to see how nice this stuff looks! If you made your own or bought it doesn't matter.

Here was my first attempt. I used a pair of old khaki pants.

Sorry, I can't get the pictures to show bigger than about 1 inch. I will have to figure it out soon.

I think I recognize that burlap handle. Didn't you sell some nice looking slabs of that just a few days ago here?

i like the black felt allot, it has an organic look and feel to it. nice and hard. its my new favorite handle material. i dont have a press so i lay up my mycarta on foil between two blocks of wood and put my anvil on top. next time im going to try parking my jeep on it.

the jeep will be so much more dramatic though :)... less work than turning those little screws down.

Ive made several batches from my old wranglers. I use the fiberglass resin. I have a hard time getting a smooth finish on mine. Ive even turned it on a lathe for pens. Seems to take me forever to sand it down though. Maybe its cause I just make it up in a universal size and have to use what I made for scales and all . Sometimes it way to thick for scales :)
