Show Us Your Boys Knife

I gave this knife to my dad since he always tells me how he use to play baseball with his knife back in the 30's (he's 95 now). This knife is probably from the late 50's or early 60's? He would also play something called Mumbley peg.

Nice Mammoth Boys knife, Mark!!
What is that stone that adorns your pic??🤔
Thanks Mr CC...my one and only Northwoods was a bit of a splurge as I did buy on secondary market (BF exchange) but now seems like a good buy. As far as the stone, I believe it is fluorite as its not super hard (low on Mohs scale). I’ve had it since I was a kid, picked it up on some long forgotten camping trip, likely to Mojave Desert.

...an outdoor photo usually brings out the blue-green in the covers as does the stone. Not sure I succeeded.1D261B6A-D263-407A-9EC0-2B9F631192D0.jpeg

I *love* Boys Knives, but as others have stated, these modern iterations aren’t the sort of thing a boy (or girl) could purchase with their allowance.

But a Swiss boy would have been able to put together enough francs for this:

A boy who struggled with math might have liked this one:

A boy of slightly above-average means might have purchased this around the turn of the 20th Century:

And his grandson might have bought this:

Here’s a few more easily-affordable knives for good measure:

And let’s not forget some girls like knives, too:

Wonderful brand, and quality!! Another lucky Boy!! I almost didn't buy it because of the hole, but it was too good for the price!! The hole was used to secure the knife to a display board. This knife has a firm pull!! It'll turn you into a man!! Ruff!!😆
