Any idea of the age? (Wish I improved with age:eek:)

I might have posted this elsewhere on the forums, but I think it fits well here too. :)

Wow- some great knives shown here!

These are all of mine, except a Camiilus "demo" knife which now resides with one of my sons.

Colonial (with Knife and spoon), Wenger, Camillus Cub Scout, Victorinox Farmer, and unknown brand souvenir knife

Of those, this is my favorite. Camillus Cub Scout knife. Probably the first real knife I owned. Got it in 3rd grade- approx. 1970.

My nephew has my old Camillus Cub Scout knife, and he doesn't know it but he'll soon get a fantastic SL trapper to go with it! That little Camillus Cub Scout knife was always one of my favorites!

No can opener nor cap lifter, but here's one I consider very handy while in the woods:

PS. One can quite easily open a can and pop a bottle cap with just a blade - just sayin :)

I'm dieing for that knife. not much longer

Alright, you all pushed me over the edge and inspired me to grab one. I just love the bone on this Ulster Dwight Devine.

This Remington in Junior size is a very cool knife indeed. I can only imagine the look of happiness on the face of the scout that received this knife when new.

I agree, Ken. The Junior is my favorite Scout knife. Its compact size and light weight made it a great pattern for a Girl Scout, too.

Here's an early Remington R-4373 with a two-piece can opener that still has most of its master blade etch and punch bluing. This little gal still walks and talks like new.

Looks like its been cleaned up extensively judging by the depth of pitting...that said, where on earth do people find knives like these? :p that bone is stunning!!! great find.

The closest thing I've got is the SAK Spartan given to me by Jani (thejamppa). This is the only photo I have of it:

It has all of the usual tools. Maybe I can get a better photo of it in here tomorrow. - Ed

Thanks for the compliments.:) Yes, I think you are right about the cleaning. It looks as if it were left in some water because the pitting is just in certain places on the tops of the blades. You can still make out the etching on the blade but it has been all buffed to a high shine. The bone is what sold it for me though.:thumbup:

I have an almost complete collection of official camp knives. Just missing a couple of the 1927-1928 remington.
Anybody know wehere I can get an Ulster sea-scout?.

Rhino - OMG! Holly molly - that's an incredible collection. Probably better than the Boy Scouts themselves!
