Haven't really focused on the Victonix line until I got this display case from a scout shop when they dropped the entire product line in 2008. Mainly the classic folders were what I was going for.

Old imperial scout knife, I just bought it on the bay actually because the only pic above showed a ton of character!!! I'll oil this one, touch the edge up and occasionally carry it. Wont know any more about it till it arrives but the price I got it for I think it'll be a nice addition.

Here's a few more! The Ulster Scout I hadn't put up a picture of, a new Case Scout Junior in amber bone, and an Ulster US WWII 10th Mountain Division Utility brown bone:

I've shown this knife before, but I guess it also belongs in this thread.

Thanks Trey. It's a good one. I looked a long time for a scout knife that I liked, so when I saw this one I immediately pounced on it.

Anyone want to take a punt at the age of my older Imperial? and what scale material? it looks like jigged black bone under the loupe but could be just a pocket worn synthetic of some sort...says IMPERIAL, and then I think PROVIDENCE, NY...not 100% on the second though as the tang stamp is quite corroded.

Thought I'd try and get this thread going again:) hope that's ok:o

I can dig it! Here's my newly aquired Ulster - this is a very nice knife - real quality build. Blade and tools are all in good shape. I gotta say this is one of the toughest knives I own.
I'm just getting into the old scout knives. How's the build on that KaBar?

I also picked up an Imperial Kamp King - I had something similar to this when I was a kid. The Imperial is kinda cheap. It's put together OK. But materials and construction are definitely lower than the Ulster.

The KABAR's construction is top notch in my opinion. I own ulster, imperial, camillus and SAK's and the KABAR is up there with the best. I really like it!

Is that ulster of yours stainless or carbon?

Thanks for the shout back. This one is stainless. I have an older one inbound - an Ulster with bone scales and carbon steel - I can't wait to see how it turns out.

DoubleOtt - those are some cool artifacts.

I didn't really like scout/camper style knives when I was a kid. I've come to realize I'd never handled one from a good maker back then.

Here is my recently acquired Ulster Knife Co. BSA knife. It's around 90 years old, give or take a few.

OK, more to come in a week or so — got several camper-pattern knives — but here's two scout knives and non-scout Wenger.

^^^ thanks AreBeeBee - your photos and links in the other thread got me started looking at scouts/campers. What's your favorite brand(s) in the older type patterns? I'm really impressed with Ulster.
