Gary, Incredible photos as always. Now, about that whipping on the SAK..........

Did you do a thread on that once? I really would like to learn how to do that. That is very unique and a great way to keep those lanyards in the right position.

Thanks guys here is a thread, pun intended, on whipping

It also shows how to make the diamond knots.

The thread I use I purchased from Tandy years ago, a mistake on my part as I was at a store up in Syracuse and needed some black thread, it looked too thin but couldn't remember exactly, got home and yep, it was WAY too thin for my hand stitching of sheaths, and only recently figured out that it is GREAT for whipping the lanyards!

Thank you Gary. A gentleman and a scholar as always.

No lanyards on knives, but this is what I keep on my keys. Simple no-nonsense paracord loop.

I dubbed this the Bobtail fob for these short diamond knots in paracord, adds some length to the knife handle and it's handy to draw the knife out, being a small knife it didn't warrant a full sized lanyard;
which also has some strong thread to whip the two pieces of paracord together so it isn't able to move into the path of the blade.
