Show us your Randalls

Well I got my 2nd Randal today. I love the feel of these knives and this Border patrol handle. I have a model 5-6 on order also and is due in January.

If you like that one, you'll really like the Model #16-7 'Special Fighter' in the same configuration (but with a SS blade only) - cool knife, thanks for the share. :)

I'm a user of my knives and really like O-1 and the patina they get. image.jpgimage.jpg
I'm taking these to bear camp for 10 days. 5 of the days will be just camping so gonna give em a true test. No concrete blocks just real world camping tests :)

In a moment of weakness I called the shop. This is my third Randall and my favorite so far :D

Wow, I've seen amazing things here, Randall never seen before for me, and fantastic and valuable pieces of history. I love Randall knives but I've only two: a model 1 7" and a Buxton fighter; a 14 is in my wishlist, and I will take it certainly...

Good looking knife, Psyop. That wood is beautiful with the sheath.

Nice little collection, pomelly. Stacked leather is my favorite and that Buxton has a awesome blade shape.

Not sure if I ever posted this - a pair of Buxton Fighters made up in customer supplied Lineal Ivory Micarta. Only two were made; I own one of 'em.

Nice, Sheldon. I've always thought that the Buxton is one of the better looking Randalls.

Randall No. 5 with micarta handle, circa 1966. Some scratches and scuffs from use. I can't decide whether to continue to use it or to polish out the marks and become a one Randall knife collector.

Whether you decide to use it or keep it as a collector, I would encourage you NOT to polish out the marks. It is my experience that knives that have been "cleaned" are not as desirable as "original" knives. If you keep it as a collector, the marks will be part of the history. You can never get it back to its original looks. My 2 cents worth. Great looking knife btw. Do you have a picture of the other side of the knife and the back of the sheath? Are you the original owner?

My humble collection has had two added. I have a few more interesting ones inbound in the new year…………:)

Good to see someone from the Southern Hemisphere posting and collecting RMK. You have some great looking Randalls.

BTW I think you live in one of the nicest cities in the world.
