naw, just funny how its traveled across the usa from Texas I believe to up north back down to florida. Are you planning to take it for a visit?
Very nice! What is the sheath for the model 14? I'm getting one soon with the Diver profile and would like a sheath for when I take it in the water.
10-3,my smallest Randall.
14 with odd handle colour.
I have been told it was old yellow, which I dont think it is,too dark.
Also told it was antique gold,I havent seen enough AG to compare.
I think it is more likely a customer supplied piece of what I call "Butterscotch".
That's cool!Hi Ray1911,
That one is a Spec-ops Brand Combat Master "Long" in Coyote Brown.
You can also get them in black or multi-cam as well.
(Contact Spec-Ops Brands for stock and colours available.)
Great if you wish to match it to your knife handle colour as I did with this 14.
This "long" model will take up to an 8 inch blade,so the 14 will fit just fine.
You can also get "Short" (up to 6 inch) and "Mini" (up to 4.5 inch) if you wish.
For my 16 Diver though I use a "Pancake Flipper" style scabbard I made from 1 inch polypipe.
This one has my 1-7 in it as the moment, but will fit the 16 just fine.
If you want to make one of this style for your 14 though, you will have to use 1 and a quarter inch polypipe
to accommodate the wider blade.
I have made heaps of these for some pro and rec divers, fisherman, kayakers etc.
I also made the lanyard.
Cheap,easy to make,strong,safe,virtually unbreakable!
Interesting post and I'm really digging the poly pipe one!Hi Ray1911,
