Its no longer a "virgin". Used my Yukon Skinner to breakdown my cow elk this year. I didnt do the best job but thats on me not the blade. Have some work to do to get better before next season.

The Gambler is getting cleaned up at a local shop to be sold on consignment. It was cool, but I never really like it.

Also a new arrival, No. 1-7 NS guard and butt, and a total of 35 small saw-teeth being just over 4" length. (Seems like a long-ish teeth run?) Haven't bought a Randall in about five years.
It was a hard fight picking between this one and an available #16-7 Fighter but the #16 micarta Border Patrol handle seemed just a touch "short" at the end of it for my large hand. Weird. My diver with the finger grooves is very filling and handy. This 1-7 Std handle, only a touch longer with by a smidgeon of end cap area, was noticeably (that) much more comfortable and filling than that 16 Fighter. The handle feel is all-important to me; even if everything else is wonderful and desired, if it doesn't feel right, no bueno & no buy.
