Show what you did with your EDC today.

The electricity went out this afternoon, and shortly afterwards all the smoke alarms went off. No smoke. My wife's canaries totally freaked out. She was afraid the birds would kill themselves. I grabbed a step ladder and a crowbar, slipped the blade of the Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter under the rim of an alarm, pried it up until the crowbar would fit in, and ripped the alarm out with the crowbar. Pried out battery with the knife. Repeat. The canaries seem to be OK, but you can't be sure so soon.

Ran the new Zaan thru my favorite work knife test. If a knife wont cut this 3/4 double ply hot water rated hose in one pass it will never do on the job. I don’t cut a lot of it but I do cut it and other such tough to cut material often. I knew the Zaan would pass with flying colors as my others have but I wanted to prove my new edge as well.
