Tried out my brother’s North Vietnamese surplus stove, which was actually issued during the Vietnam War. Cool piece of uncommon surplus gear from the enemy side.

My building is irresponsible and has no recycling program, so I am crushing and slicing what I can't crush into manageable sizes to go into the trashbag and off to the recycling center with the other stuff I recycle. Spyderco Cricket is CRAZY. I want a plainedge one. Got a serrated M4 Dodo which is basically a similar, American-made knife with full-sized handles and a tougher grind, as well as a better steel. I rec it highly, go get you one, they will be sold out soon.

Ruike P-whatever, this knife was a gift from a friend which is why I own a Chinese knife, but the steel is cool, 14C28N. Slipjoint-action liner-lock, interesting, smooth action. I never said they're bad knives, just can't get behind buying for political reasons. Glad I got gifted two Ruikes, a Bestech and an SRM, cause I now have some D2 and 14C28N beaters with good action to play with. Blue anodization on internals and screws. This knife will help me sharpen.
