Nice lauri. I've got one, but I cant figure out how to make the bolster with the way the tang is ground. Do you just live with the gap, or is there a secret to making it?

Well...there is a small gap where the spine meets the bolster, but it's very small and I just figure it's how the knife looks. I can't see that it is functionally relevant. The gaps around the blade filled up nicely with silver solder. Past that, I don't know.

Hey zhang, cool to see more of the Breeden-knife....
I have one too and love the way that knife feels..

I have been practicing a lot at making quality feather sticks, and I finally have some I feel are worth posting.
This first one was done mostly with the O1 Golok pictured.

This one I just finished while the kids were playing in the yard. The knife is my 5" bushcrafter pattern.

The wood is Cedar from my parents place.
Thanks for looking

Hello Folks,

I posted this over on the Fiddleback Forge Forum as well.

This is the Arete's first time out, albeit brief. The knife was very comfortable and controllable in the hand and sliced very well. It did not have a tendency to bite or dig deep into the wood which made producing shavings much easier. It was a real pleasurable time indeed.

I hope you enjoy.

Mark

Hello Folks,

Similar to my previous post, this is the Creekster's (Battle Creek Knives) first time out, albeit brief. I used the knife to drill a hole and produce some shavings or feather sticks. We got along very well!

I hope you enjoy.
