if there is one knife in the world that a guy doesn't NEED multiples of, it's the indestructible HDFK! That said, seeing your photo makes me have some warm, fuzzy feelings :)

I agree that there’s really no need for a spare with the HDFK. But then what if I misplace one or the unthinkable happens ????
Plus it’s just that awesome of a knife that I couldn’t resist !!!! Plus I have issues and I accept that lol :)
 
The HDFK is my wife’s favorite knife. She says “Where’s my knife?” or “Get the knife.” She calls the little hiking knife I got for her “my peter pan knife” and she low-key hates it. She never uses it. Literally last weekend she was looking for a knife so I handed her a mora (a nice beechwood one) and she looked at it, almost genuinely confused by what I’d just done, and said “what the fuck is this? Where’s my knife?” So I went and got her the HDFK. Then she was happy. Haha

Can’t says I blame her. The HDFK is THE knife. 🤷‍♂️
 
The FK2 is seeing more work this weekend, but I wouldn’t go camping without the HDFK.

You are correct , I do consider myself very fortunate, lucky, thankful to have these and my other knives. Who ever knew they’d become such a lusted for knife. When I acquired these I just loved the knife that much. It was still a new release so who knew ???

I’d have a bakers dozen if it had been in the budget.

But if you’re being honest I think you may have had an inkling when you bought them. Demand was pretty high and buying was a blood bath.
Fortunately for the lustful this is not a retired pattern - just not currently in production.

I really had no inkling or even gave thought to future on these. Truth is I very rarely ever buy one of anything. I kinda have a self induced touch of ocd. So for example if I buy a can of car wax , I will buy two of same. Why ??? I have a hard time using one if I don’t have another brand new, kinda nuts I know. My vehicles are usually very clean. I run a used truck to keep miles off my other truck ???? The list goes on. but with knives it’s a real PIA lol. I have a CPK Boot dagger I use it to make some leather sheaths. Having one , it kills me to use it for this. I wrap and rewrap it with seran wrap. Wipe it down each time etc etc lol.

I’m in the middle of a clean up here , please excuse the clutter. As you can see I have enough wax for a lifetime plus lol. This is only a fraction of it too lol
