Wade and Butcher Pioneer (Manitou?) ..These were last made in 1910-1920?......Fine old big blade with honest patina....................Fes

 
Patina progress...190OT skins out 3-5 orange peels a day...the Douk sliced up lots of apples.

They look a little darker in the pic but they are getting there! :thumbup:
 
Well somehow forced-earned (if this exists) - but this #15 in ebony was used as my food-prep and kitchen knife for last time....

I figure this is abuse/neglect. I recently purchased it at an antique store, and have been carrying it ever since. Just carrying it, and a bit of oil, and a little steel wool got rid of the rust, but some mild pitting remains. I've done more to remove the patina than to create it at this point. But I think now that the thing is pretty clean, a proper patina will be glorious.
