Show Your Patina, Forced, Earned, or Accidental

I can't resist, here is my patina after 12 hours of working on my truck replacing the transmission. It was forced, earned and accidental. :)

Here's 40 years of patina on my Old Man's hunting knives, last used in 75 when he passed away, the Swayback Jack has about 3 years of natural patina.

Hey OH, love your BSA postings...is that your uniform perchance? Mine from the 50's and 60's are long gone; and you're one of roughly a handful who actually sport the "Order of the Patina Patina" in their signature.

Thanks Al. Yep, that is my Boy Scout shirt, I still have my OA & merit badge sashes, and my Cub Scout and Explorer Scout shirts too. For some reason I kept them - most everything else from my childhood is gone (like evidence I guess!) OH

These are all natural, except on the sod buster it was an accidental patina that was too much corrosion so I ended up using mustard to "fix" it.

Then this is my pride and joy traditional, my first brand new one. It's only about a month old, but it already has a nice rainbow patina with a "pedigree":) it's only cut apples up to this point. After what happened to my sod buster (pocket sweat) I wanted to be sure this one has a nice layer of protection before I use it too hard, so I've been using it whenever I can in the kitchen. Up to this point that's been apples and the darker part near the edge is from my blood when the blade laser beamed through the apple into my palm..didn't even feel the cut
