I call this the " What the heck did I cut and why didn't I at least wipe the blade off" patina :D

This one is a forced patina. I stabbed it into a grapefruit and left it over night.

This one is my Grandfather's Colonial pen knife with ( just a guess) 50 years of natural patina .

After one week of cutting the daily oranges and a mild cider vinegar wrap. Rather pleased!

Not a real obvious patina due to lighting but the main blade of this Case Small Texas Jack has a patina that I "earned" by regularly using it to slice up fruit.



I have since polished most of it off but the blade does retain some of the coloration.
