Blood_Grooves,

When I was about your age I knew a guy that was about 40 that could play golf so well that he hardly ever shot worse than 73, but he never played much. I remember saying to myself that he was so stupid!!! and if I was ever that good I'd never stop I'd just play every day.

About ten years later I could kick a golf ball around a 7,000 yard course and shot 73. I pretty much gave up playing after that   .

Anyway there are a lot of things you are never going to understand, get use to it and learn to embrace them.

You remind me of this quote, BG:

"When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years." -- Mark Twain

Be slow to judgement and quick to learn - you may or may not understand all the differences in people. But as Tony G put it, learn to embrace them all.

this might be a little overboard on comparison, but i can't think of anyone who thinks this isn't wrong...

most fast food places have a policy that they can have the food made for a certain amount of time, so they just throw it away but the homless people say straight up can we have the food that is perfectly fine but a little old, but they still throw it away, so they have to pull it out of the garbage, or sometimes they lock the garbage so they cant even get the food.

I know everyone has there choices, but what if someone chooses to waist perfectly good food right in front of someone who needs it on purpose? is that right or wrong? would you do something?

OH YA!!! raining that is a nice picture. once i get a FBM i am going to chop a whole lot of black berrys :D those look kind of green and soft. i have himilayn (spelt that wrong typing fast...) black berrys and are red and VERY hard to cut by swinging a blade at it almost requires nippers. do you know the spieces you have around your house.

Sorry if i mispelt things its very hot here and i dont feel very good :(:grumpy:

Infi isn't sustenance, none of us need it, it is something which is desired but any one of us can live without it.

By keeping knives and not using them, we are not putting anyone else in a dire situation. There may be others who want them, but they will continue living their lives just fine without them.

Your comparison is ridiculous, and I think it is wrong.

Edit: As far as homeless people begging for food that is being wasted, it sucks but there are better ways to feed yourself than begging and dumpster diving.

this thing is getting out of hand and i would like to drop it, but what i want to get through is if you collect busses and dont use a single one to see what INFIs all about... Yes these knives are beautiful but one of the reasons thtese so expensive is their steel. INFI dosn't look any different from any other steel.....

Yes i dont get alot of things in this world but i would love for someone to explain this to me...

It is a faulty comparison. In the one instance, you're talking about wasting sustenance.

In the second instance, there is a big realm of debate as to whether waste is even occuring. If someone is getting pleasure from owning the knife, then where's the waste?

If one follows your comparison, those coins you collect are being wasted, right? The intent was for them to circulate. (You mistakenly suggest the intent of Busse is to make knives that get used. It's not. Busse is in the business to sell knives. Period.) Are you heading out the door now to spend your coin collection at the 7-11? Well, stop! :p

Actually, Busses and coins do make for a good comparison in one way. The US Mint makes money that it knows will never be circulated (mint sets, proof sets, collector rolls, etc.) just as Busse makes knives it knows will sit in a safe somewhere.

The waste you speak of is a judgment call. One man's waste is another man's eye candy.

I can agree with you here.

But I don't think anyone here (at BFC) actually does this. Though Bravado will never admit it, I'm pretty sure he uses a Busse from time to time. ;) :D

I'm certain there are eBay sellers who might buy only to resell, but that's a different story.

most of my coins i collect you cant even spend. their out of the country.

You can always do a currency exchange. ;)

If it's Kruggerands you're talking about, I'll honor them with INFI. Pesos? Rupees? Not so much. :D

Ok I use several. Last time I counted them all it turned out that I use about 10% of them.

One LE Game Warden and a DC Black Micarta
Two ADs
One LMrs
One MS
one SHSHII
One SHBM
two CG FBMs
one BA-III
One Basic-3
One Basic -5
One XXXL Nick
Then I use about 6-7 other Game Wardens as steak knives when I have friends over for dinner.

BG, let me give you a piece of advice. I'm only 20 years older than you so I can remember being your age a little better than some of these dinosaurs :p. If I could go back to myself and leave one bit of sage advice it would be to shut my mouth and do more listening. Looking back, I shared many of my opinions about things with folks and I often wonder what useful stuff I missed while I was busy expounding my own point of view. Your thread would have gotten the original intended responses (user pics) if you had stopped short of throwing your opinion in along with a request from the community. Life is full of teachable moments, take advantage of them. You are young and exuberant, that is admirable. Youthful exuberance has always been able to count on meeting with a certain level of patience from those who have senn a lot and learned even more. But that patience only goes so far with some.

Ouch!!! :D

These are all users or slotted for use. There are a few new ones I could add to the mix.

sorry for maybe bringing this back up, but I'm young (just turned 15) and can't afford any INFI (unfortunetly) and sometimes get kind of frustrated when I see people with TONS of busse's that they never even use, some people have many of the same exact knives too, and i wish I just had one.
but it's none of your bussiness what they do with their knives and money, they have payed good money for the knives just like you would, what they do with them is there bussiness.

also, half the reason to have a busse is to get a cool prototype that you were searched for, or something (alot of effort goes into getting some of those awesome knives) and because you KNOW what the knives can do and your proud to own them.
it's not a waste of time, OR STUPID, no matter how much someone spends, how many someone has or how many someone uses... or how many you have either. BTW, I really can't even collect knives, if I have a knife I don't use, I can't stand it and I normally sell it.
but I still repect collectors, and I'm sure if I had a sick busse or something I would easily keep it, even if i never used it.

once again, I'm not trying to stirr anything up, just really wanted to give my opinion.
:D

You appear to be a very astute young man, Eatingmuchface.

Shame about your forum name. :D

lol
yeah ummm, idk really.
but it's my "official" forum name now.
(yes, OFFICIAL :D)

and when I was newer to knife forums (about 6 months ago i didn't even know what a forum (or busse) was) I was kind of a trouble maker and always m anaged to say the wrong thing that stirred everyone up.
hopefully my reputation here will be a little better and I can manage to control my big mouth.
:D
thanks.
