Some of us know all to well what it is living with an unfortunate screen name! It wasn't until a few years after I've been using "Grimspoon" all over the net that one of my buddies pointed out how either adding an apostrophe or a well placed space in the nick completely changes the meaning!

:o:o:o

Well, you either change it or learn to appreciate the fault. I've learned to live with it!

sorry for maybe bringing this back up, but I'm young (just turned 15) and can't afford any INFI (unfortunetly) and sometimes get kind of frustrated when I see people with TONS of busse's that they never even use, some people have many of the same exact knives too, and i wish I just had one.
but it's none of your bussiness what they do with their knives and money, they have payed good money for the knives just like you would, what they do with them is there bussiness.

also, half the reason to have a busse is to get a cool prototype that you were searched for, or something (alot of effort goes into getting some of those awesome knives) and because you KNOW what the knives can do and your proud to own them.
it's not a waste of time, OR STUPID, no matter how much someone spends, how many someone has or how many someone uses... or how many you have either. BTW, I really can't even collect knives, if I have a knife I don't use, I can't stand it and I normally sell it.
but I still repect collectors, and I'm sure if I had a sick busse or something I would easily keep it, even if i never used it.

once again, I'm not trying to stirr anything up, just really wanted to give my opinion.
:D

Not to mention collectors keep the fire going!

I like my screen name though, it doesn't bother me, Its just like an expression (??I guess??) I started saying.
and for some reason I use it for everything.

ok maybe i shouldn't of used the word "dumb" (lack of words...:o) and like i said if you have the money its fine and even fun, but take Z51(sorry or singling you out :o) for instance, if he only has 5 or 6 busse and dosn't use a single one thats *blank* (if you can think of another word i would love that)

collecting is fun (i have many collections rocks, coins, knives, and i am starting to collect watches.) but if you dont use a single knife from a company or knife maker and you dont know their capablilitys and your spending around 3K for them that is dumb (in this case dumb is the right word)

and i don't know how you guys buy a busse and sell them.

Blood_Grooves,

I appreciate your position but I choose to "use" my knives how I want to.

I'm a collector, plain and simple.

Also, selling Busse knives is inevitable if you continue in this hobby.

If you can't imagine selling one, you don't own enough yet. :)

He's just a kid. Lighten up, everybody.

Agreed. When i was his age i had a kabar, a SAK and a machete and didnt realize folks did anything other than use them. Looking back I did have some collectors(mostly scrimshaw slipjoints) I just didnt call them that. Now I know better. Wish I hadnt beaten a couple of them up.

If you ever get tired of using that sweet custom ZTSH let me know, I'd be glad to turn THAT into a safequeen for ya:D

I thought that since Jerry proved you could make a million cuts on a rope with INFI and still shave your arm hair, we didn't have to use our safe queens! OMG, I have to actually use them?????

I fall down the middle on this issue... I use some, I collect safequeens... It's all good! :D Here's 4 LE's that I use. I got other users too, but these 4 will represent... Busse in da hizzouse! LOL

Those Snakeskins look awesome!!! Did you oil them? Sand them? Could you tell me what models they are?

Are you asking me?:) If so, they are all Tigerhide. From left to right: BATACLE, SJTACLE, HOGFSHLE, FBMLE. All are oiled with mineral oil, and the BATACLE & FBMLE have had a little hand sanding done to round off the high points. The other 2 haven't been altered, except for the oil. ...Thanxx! :D

When you oil up your micarta like that, doesn't it leave your hands oily after handling/using them?

That is a cool shot Jaxx!

:D Thanxx! ... I love it when a shot comes together, LOL

Grimspoon, As long as you wipe off the excess, not really... I mean surely your hand will absorb a little, but I've never had a problem once I blotted off the excess. It will dry out/evaporate over some time, so for the shot, I had just reapplied oil to, and then blotted off the excess to all 4 beforehand.

TIGERHIDE. Yeah thats what i meant:foot:.They look awesome either way. I havent seen the tigerhide all slick like that before. Wish i owned ONE(10). I put mineral oil on all my blades but havent really used it on the handles yet.

Ah. Thanks for the info. I've become a bit obsessive compulsive about having excess oils on my hands after working for so long in my previous job, I'm only just getting used to not being covered in oil every day!

I have a couple pieces with tigerhide that I'd LOVE to look like that. I don't think I can bring myself to oil up my infi though.

Le sigh.
