Signup: Strider SnG Knife Passaround

Where exactly are we guys? From what I can gather from this post, we are now going into the 2nd week?
So has Steve had it for his week, and now sending it on to the next in line?
Someone let me know if this is correct. Thanks.

Thats correct. Steve bought both the Sng and the Green Beret last weekend at the Knife show in Vegas and his time is up and they should both be going onto the second on the list:)

EDIT: I have run into some problems with the list. I've sent a couple emails. If I can get the info I need soon enough, it will be sent today. Thanks!

I'm not going to be able to get to the post office tonight, sorry...:(

Here is the knife and the special bonus! A kydex belt sheath!

Awesome. Thanks Steve. Well folks, I am going to have to light a candle on this one. Good luck to you folks too;)

Steven,
I just sent you my contact info by email. I am sure I sent it before, but maybe the email screwed up or something.
Thanks.

Steve I have read on the Strider forum that the Sng has a short break in period where its alittle stiff to open at first. How is this one coming along?? Are one hand opens a problem?? What do you think of the locking system?? Thanks

It is on its way! :D

BTW, the SnG was butter smooth as soon as I picked it up at the show. Maybe all the passersby broke it in for me!

My SnG took about 600-800 open/close cycles to really smooth out. The unlock was especially sticky for a while, and Mick had to adjust the lock.

The main source of friction is the strength of the lockbar -- it pushes the detent ball against the bead-blasted blade, and makes it really stiff.

This of course makes for an incredibly strong lock and the tightest detent-closing power I've seen in a liner/framelock. For the initial retention (obviously not including the subsequent "pull") it rivals the Axis lock and some weaker lockbacks.

Guys, I hope you really enjoy her and give her a good workout. It's an incredible knife in many subtle ways.

The lock was very stiff on the first SnG I had, and it was very hard to open and close. The one that Mick made special for me wasn't nearly as tight, but still locked up as solid as a rock!
