Signup: Strider SnG Knife Passaround

I gave it a few swipes on a fine Sharpmaker rod before I packed it up. I am now off the the PO to send it on its way.

Post Office dude just dropped it off. Looks great. Just used it to open a new Rebecca St. James CD.......later..........:D

Great? :D

I haven't had the chance to really abuse it. It's been used for mostly "normal" knife stuff: food preparation, office tasks like sharpening pencils, cutting paper, plastic, and cardboard, removing staples, etc... It carries great, the pocket clip holds tightly. The finish has held up very well. It almost seems as if a few people might not have carried it? The blade and edge look great, still sharp. All around it's a great little EDC.

Well it's off to Randal16-1.....

Like I said it's an awesome little EDC. If I wore a suit on a regular basis I'd probably buy one. Heck, I might get one eventually anyway. But if I win this one I'll probably sell or trade it (preferably for other Striders....:D). The light is nice, lighter than either one of my other two Surefires. I'd be interested in either trading or buying it from the lucky winner.

I agree, that SureFire is one great light. It is a lot brighter than I had expected it to be, and I really like the easy pulse/constant beam selection. I had been toying with the idea of buying one of the exectutive models, but will now surely get one if ever have the money!

As for the knife, I loved it too. I never wear a suite, but it would be just about the perfect EDC for me. I love the size of it, and it is light as well. Normally I don't need to push to hard on a knife, but knowing that if I need to I will be able to is great. The only downside I can see is it still seems to be an intimidating knife. One of the reasons that I joined the passaround was to see if the SnG would be suitable to use at work(in a retail store), and after holding it in my hand for a week have decided I probably couldn't get away with it.;)

Pachucko,

I recieved the SNG today ( 04/14/03).

Thank you, Brian Everett

Hey Brian, Have you sent it along to the next guy on the list yet????

The SNG is on it's way to 3Wounds. I mailed it today Insured and all.

I think the SNG is a great knife. I hope I win.

Brian Everett.

I would have gotten out sooner. Sorry for the delay.

:D I tracked down the mail lady today so I could take the SNG to the Nordic Knives Show:p What a tank of a knife! its held up pretty well, still sharp. The very tip has chipped off, not too bad. A little reprofile, from someone who knows what they are doing , prolly be back in shape. For some reason I compare every knife to my Sebenza's:footinmou Its a different type of knife, really comparing apples to oranges. This is defenitly a USER, no worrying about scratching. This thing is built to work.

The tip chipped? All right! Someone fess up! Who did it!?

Seriously, anyone know what was able to chip the tip on this thing?

(in case you didn't catch the sarcasm, this post was made in jest)

Yep, one more stop left. As we are almost done, are we raffeling the knife and light together, or to different people?
