Silver Needle's GSO 5's

Thanks, friend. I'll definitely photograph to the fullest extent of the law and report back as constructively as possible.

You're very good about that, thanks for taking the time to do so Silver. I'll be interested in seeing the revised version.

I'm going to put a whoopin' on the 4.7 and 5. I want the other 2 but I don't "need" them. I need the 8 though. I have to have it.

4.7 vs 5 vs 5.1 vs 6
Who will be the ONE ?
Only time will tell. Man, I cannot wait for all my orders to come in! The best is yet to come.

Ummm all of them!!!
With GSO's this is the only correct answer.

This sounds like an excellent plan.

I tried really hard to love my ESEE 6, but I just can't get past the choil. I have a $30 Schrade that has a massive choil and from what I can tell the 8 and 10 will be similar in size to this. I'm sure I just don't know how to choil properly, but I feel like I could cut myself on my ESEE 6 using the choil.

Anyways, I'm so anxious to see the 4.7 and the 6 is currently at the top of my list. It pains me to say it, but I'm sure the 5 will be at a disadvantage because it is last gen.

The choils are pretty deep on these knives compared to others. I've tried using them but I just end up using the normal grip because it's just what I'm used to. The choil came in pretty handy on the old 5.1 though when I would do feather sticks.

I think the choil is a bit wider on the 5.1 but they're close. I found the Survive handles to be way more comfortable though.

Congratulations Silver and thanks to chiral for such a generous offer. I am anxiously awaiting your review of the beater with the chiral extension.

I think the choil on my 5.1 is way better then the esse laser strike.

I did a Google search on an Esee 6 and it seems like the choil's are pretty shallow. At least the laser strike has a decent separation from the blade from what I remember. That has to be the most overlooked knife out of their selection.

Its my truck knife. Its not cheap but its not 3v prices and it will get replaced if broken. I've beat on it a lot and barely seen any wear on the coating. But it does make it seem like it doesn't slice real good cause of the coating. Still a good knife. If I keep it I'm gonna buy some g10 scales and an arrow head for the inside with the fire kit

Congrats Silver Needle, that's a great looking GSO-5!!!

Thank you, sir! I'm looking forward to all the 5's getting shipped out because I ordered a factory second at the very end. Come to papa!!!

If Ellie sees this and has a date in mind about when all the 5's will be out of the shop, that would be neat. Otherwise I shall continue patiently waiting without any whining like a mature adult should :D
