...But, I don’t like being “forced” having a safety.
Like saying "I don't like being forced to wear a seat belt".

If you don't care about your own safety, that's your perogative. But think about the people who have to scrape you off a tree, or the people who have to burry you. Or in your selfishness, the people who have to stitch you up, or apply a tourniquet, and clean up that mess.

Manufactures can only do so much to protect themselves. When someone does something stupid and there's no one left to blame, the manufacturers get the blame.

Use it as intended or don't use it. The survivors will sue the manufacturers.

That being said... I carry a Glock every day, in a holster. I wouldn't dare carry it loose in my pocket. How's that for a parallel?

Dan was replying to someone that wanted a safety on a 110 auto so THEY could carry it in their pocket.

I agree, leave the current design alone.
I'm tired of constant nannies being pushed on me because other people don't know how to be safe.

Natural selection has it's place.
As long as a product can be safely used as designed, leave it be.
It's not like someone is forcing you to do an unsafe act to yourself.
If you wanna carry a 110 auto in your pocket, go ahead. Not the smartest thing you can do, but their choice to do that shouldn't change the 110 auto I carry in a sheath as designed.

If you wanna use something in an unsafe matter, have at it. Just don't do it to other people
They can tell me to wear a seatbelt, but they cannot "make me". ( I do, I'm not stupid)
They can tell you to carry the knife in a sheath, but they cannot make you.

How do you stop some genius from wanting to carry a fixed blade knife in their pocket without a sheath?
This could go on forever.
