Simple Request Thread

I've mentioned all these before in a past thread on the forum:
1. The Bantam series are great comfortable daily use knives. My favorite being the 285. Would love to see Buck offer an upgraded version with better material handle (burlap, micarta, ebony, etc.), and a redesigned deep carry pocket clip. I think they would sell a ton of these.
2. Custom shop at one time offered ram's horn on the 110. Would love to see it offered again.
3. Buck 110 with a 112 sized blade. Maybe call it a a model 110 Ranger. Story behind this: One of my older 110's has been resharpened over the years so much that the blade eventually became closer in size to the 112. Kind of like plb's knife shown above. I don't carry it a lot but when I do, its balance and usability feel amazing in the hand.

What about a 112 Drop Point?

As I've mentioned, probably the most nicely sized/ proportioned knife for field dressing deer that I've ever run across.

Not sure how simple it would be, but a full tang 105 would be my request. I dont think a finer general purpose outdoors knife has ever been designed, and beefing up the handle a bit would only make it better. I dont like beating on my knives with sticks, but as a bit of a gorilla I can feel that handle flex when I put out too hard.

Last week I was backpacking in the rockies and got allot of rain, I had opted to bring a Kelly Kettle over a hatchet and ended up in one of the fairly rare occasions where splitting dry kindling out of 2-3" diameter sticks with a knife became an actual necessity. Carefully working it through short/ knotless portions of wood the 105 managed it... but that flex let me know that I was basically pushing the 105 about as hard as it could handle.

I love my 110’s with clip point over a drop point blade, but a 112 is much nicer with a drop point.

As far as a little tweak that would be a huge improvement? Get rid of nail nicks on 110’s and 112’s.
I gotta agree with you. No nail nicks. The long pull on the other hand I like

I’m not sure which long pull you are referring too? There was a limited edition 110 with a long pull it was neat.

Since you brought it up. I always thought a long pull on both sides of a 110 blade would be interesting. Basically a fuller. Call it a Folding Bowie.

I love my Sprints - three Sprint Pro’s and a couple of Selects. The action on all of them is great, size and weight make them excellent carries. But the one thing that would make them perfect for me would be a S35VN blade with a bit more of a modified wharncliffe shape. Make a Sprint Pro with some kind of uncommon handle material and pattern (like the Sprint Ops Pro with blue/black G10, my absolute favorite knife of all of mine), and a blade like the pic below, I’d scoff that up in a heartbeat. It would have to be a flipper with the same extraordinarily smooth action and liner lock as the Sprint Pro. Actually, make it a titanium or aluminum handle with inlays like below and I might have to take up smoking.

Just a little tidbit I came across on Instagram, looks like the 110/112 TRX slim pro may be making a return in some fashion IMG_7215.jpeg

The one I was referring to was indeed a 110. It was a BOTM with a drop point and CF handle. I have one and will take a picture when I get home from work
