Definitive collection of Conductors you have Trand, never got one of those yellow bone Cyclop's Works myself but I do admire them. I do have a Stag from the Cyclops though, much used knife.

Rob, the Shadow Dowell Muskrat epitomizes the necessary skill the cutler must have to nest in blades in a confined space. Overall a fantastic knife!!

Here's a few more single-springs, basket-cases they're not :D A big single blade sulks on the outskirts... Thanks, Will

I love single spring slip joints. But I've been burned so much by production knives with blade rub...

Nobody ever gets bored with quality! Fine shot of an obviously much appreciated knife Paul.

I have a few more at home but no pictures of them yet. I also have a 66 slim enroute to me as well. I've been thinking the last week actually that single blade knives and/or single spring knives seem to be my thing and what I'm drawn to the most when I choose which knife I will carry for the day. I love how they disappear in my pocket.

Gev, the Old Hands show real beauty (is that Cell on that Schrade because it even looks like horn?) but that Woodlouse enjoys living dangerously:D:eek:
Yes, you are correct, it is cell.

Some lovely sailing vessels in your fleet, Will!!

Man o man there are some beauties being shown!!

Thanks for the info Will :)

Here are a few shots of only single spring knives. Ill post a group shot when my new one gets here :D

I am coming out of a single blade phase myself. I am slowly shifting over to the pen or double ended jack setup. All the benefits of a single blade knife but you still get a great little secondary blade that is oh-so useful. This thread will not help :)

I love the precision that goes into making a good single spring knife.

Man oh man Gary - that is a stunner!!!:eek::)

Lots and lots of other fine single springers posted here too! ;)

From a makers standpoint I really enjoy the challenge of building single/spring doube-ended knives, with or without catch-bits.
Nothing will accelerate a maker's grinding skill better than making these knives. A few single springs from my past work.

Thanks for posting those, Ken. Beautiful examples of the knife maker's art.

Ken Erickson, it's an honour to have those beauties in this thread! The owners must be proud.

I particularly enthuse over that Wharncliffe Whittler in stag. (kind of what we call Seahorse now?) The tip-bolsters add everything to an already blistering knife, many thanks for showing it.

Regards, Will

Wow what great knives all. The Norfolk caught my eye long time ago but hadn't have the chance to get one. Someday.

Thanks for sharing.

Mike

Not a very good shot, but here's a few more single-springers to contemplate
