Size of your knife collection?

OK, so it seems we have folks here who have just started collecting, and those have been involved in collecting for their entire lives. As a result, there are many different size knife collections. Also, some people sell off parts of their collections over time. Anyway, for whatever reason, how large is your collection right now?

Just this morning added #353 to the catalog (I don't count users). I've been collecting since I was ten years old, over 30 years ago.

If someone bought only one knife per month for 30 years, they'd have 360 knives. So I'm seven behind schedule. Not bad, but I hope to get caught up soon.

Thanks to the wonderful thing called 'divorce', my collection almost became nonexistent due to the necessity of acquiring some extra cash.

However, things are looking up now and with me being in a much better place than before, my collection of sharp things is slowly growing again. So, for now, I'm in the 1-10 range.

i have about 115-150 counting machetes and bayonets

i lot of my collection consists of old traditional slippies that are to worn to use or dont have good enough steel ( im very picky about steel)

I voted 1000+ because that's probably what it would be if I had every knife I wanted - which is every one I see here, at knife shops online and hell 'll take all of BUDK's inventory while I'm at it! Oh yeah and I'm 1/2 in the bag too!

Tons of knife-buying money is wasted on wealthy non-knife nuts imo!

I just broke the 50 threshold today when my Lone Wolf Cheyenne arrived today. Given the way things have been going, and the minor obsession I've developed, I can guarantee I'll get to 100 much faster than it took me to get to 50.

Only problem is the deal I made with my wife. For every knife, she gets 1, 2 0r 3 pairs of shoes, depending on the value of the knife. At this rate, she will make Imelda Marcos look like underprivileged.

What if we added up the total number of knives owned by everybody on BF? Let's see, if we have roughly 170k members (even non-active member have knives) and each has perhaps 30 knives (looking at the poll results), then we'd have a community with over 5 million knives. Pretty cool, huh? Just thinkin'...
