Sk-4.7!!!

This is just all kinds of badass. I think that I'm going to invent a people's choice award for knives just so I can make sure that S!K knows how much we appreciate their support of their end users!

Give 'em hell you lucky recipients. Look forward to the feedback.

I will have to get one of those SK 4.7 knives for sure. The proportion of the knife looks pretty much perfect in my opinion.
This could be a hiker, survival, camping, utility etc...
When is the ETA on for this run ?

Hard to say, the tester knives will be going out alongside preordered GSO-4.7s which are waiting on handles still. Once those testers have been out for a couple weeks we will start getting those listed.

I had to steal this from the website for our viewing pleasure.

I can't wait until they make a SK 5.1, I love me a choil...but don't get me wrong I am sure I'll buy a 4.7 too. I go back and forth with my 5 and 5.1 as to which I use more. I am sure that re-contoured handle will make the 4.7 even easier to use than the 5. Anyway, I am going to start selling my other knives....

I'd love if it were m4. Was under the impression they're doing it in a more cost-effective steel. From what I understand m4 is downright unpleasant to grind.

It would not be a less expensive alternative to 3v and in my experience would not require any coating to thwart corrosion. A simple and cursory drying off would keep that at bay.

I must've read some BS about M4 a while back about it being pretty comparable to D2. I just did some googling and you're right. It seems that M4's corrosion resistance is almost like 3v so there really wouldn't be a need for a blade coating.

In my experience with m4 it is a perfect combo of toughness and edge retention. Granted, my favorite example of m4 is a custom run at 64, but I've been quite pleased with it.

I'm also a fan of the patina that develops over time.

That's a nice knife and that's a nice patina. It almost looks like a vinegar patina on O1.
