Sketchen Scales Customs

Tenacious with mystery burl supplied by client. Redwood is my guess but all that matters is that it looks great.

I'm not sure much is going to kick the GB2 out of my pocket when you finish mine. Check out the deep carry on it when you get it. It fits the 2 better than it did the 1 I think.

I think the GB2 could use a bit of palm swell in the handle, I wonder how that would feel...

I was thinking the same thing, but for the GB1. Any thoughts on this possibility, Steve?

BTW, beautiful work as usual. You really know how to transform our knives.

The only issue would be the added thickness in the pocket. If that doesn't bother you guys it would feel great in the hand.

It would have to be very slight, but I don't think it would take much to make a big difference in the feel.

Vmmvmmm, let me know when you're ready and I'll set you up right.

Haven't done a recon1 yet but it wouldn't be a problem in g10. I don't work with carbon fiber.

Several projects cooking in various stages of completion:

Spyderco stretch with bird's-eye maple. This was an frn version and the scales are milled for the liners.

^Sounds like a good plan, let me know.

Spyderco Gayle Bradley 2 all dressed up. Amboyna burl and African blackwood bolsters, scales brought flush with the liners. :-)

Wow looks even better than I imagined. I may have to sneak out of work early the day that one gets back here and wait at the mailbox

Haha maybe we can send it to you at work so you can just lock yourself in a back room to fondle it. This is definitely one of my favorite sets I've done.
Can't wait to see the full package after mmans0311 works his magic!
