Slash test requests - I grew my own bamboo forest for this.

"Inclusive" and "knife geeks are stupid.". Hmmm...interesting dichotomy there.
Well the idea is to include everyone so you can berate them.
Kind of like how the bamboo is invited to Houlahound's knife party.
I swear, it's like you're not even trying to play along, Forrest.

I'd like to see a sheet metal knife test- just cut a piece of sheet metal, leave the burr on it, wrap a paracord handle and see what that can do.

In theory it's apparently "clumping" varieties, does not run far just gets impenetrably dense. Can confirm after years of growth this is what is trending.

We need to know what the bamboo is like before recommending any blades. It could be spindly little sticks, it could be 2" diameter 40 footers.

Bamboo cut's itself when faced with one of these .

No, no, NO. You're giving him an "out". Based on his comments, I fully expect to see some Loveless, Shiro, Rockstead, and the like. Certainly nothing below CRK pricepoint.

Anyone can wail away at vegetation with a piece of angle iron - but what does that prove??? ;)

I cut lots of bamboo when I lived in Latin America. Green smaller stuff is pretty easy to cut with any machete or chopper style knife. Loppers work great for green stuff. Dry big stuff is incredibly tough and will cut you quickly if given a chance. For that I used a saw.

This patch is what has survived a 10 year drought interspersed with rapid sporadic flood events in a temperate non- tropical climate so I am guessing by the rules of evolution this patch will be environmentally hardened above tropical growth patches.

So what diameter stalks are we talking about?

Why gas mask apart from looking cool. I have wanted to own a real WWI gas mask forever, can't source one.
You need to keep up on current events....LOL.....
