Yes, I too agree "Paypal" is an ebay thing, RED FLAG and find another seller or dealer. Ebay is full of scammers, thieves and some honest folks too.
 
So I thought I would do another compilation of the information we have on our scammer. This time I'll try and make it easier to follow along with sorting usernames used in order for each forum (Bladeforums and the JerzeeDevil).


So to begin, lets talk a little about our scammer and his m.o. Then I'll go into detail with a listing of each account.

His name is Pedro 'Pete' Valerio, though he's gone by many names. The locations listed/addresses he uses are mostly Houston or it suburbs (he did claim a California location in a profile on the JD though the IP address proved otherwise). He almost always claims to be former military, though his time served and branch has varied from account to account (could be a lie). He also almost always claims to be in law enforcement (LEO), again varying departments and years of service (it's been determined he doesn't work for any local PD's but is rather a "rent-a-cop" working for various security companies). He uses the two aforementioned things as a means to try and build unwarranted trust from his victims. He seems to go for high end knives in trades and sells the same (probably for the bigger payout). He also seems to prey on newer or low post count members. His accounts show little to no post in anything other then the For Sale/Trade sections of the forums.

He's accessing the site through his smartphone causing slight variation to the IP. He uses a Samsung GALAXY S4 Active smartphone on AT&T's 4G LTE network.

Based on his PP email (the only consistent one used) and pictures, I'd venture to say the 89 stands for 1989 and he's approximately 25 years old (unconfirmed, just an educated guess).

Oh Lawd, another wannabe Mall Ninja!!! Makes me want to take a road trip so badly that I wish I knew a Policeman so I could steal his Police cruiser and get to Texas ASAP.

Don't ban him just yet, can't we play with him for a little while!!!

While a Guard Agency is not as concerned as a PD about public perceptions, maybe their Clients may be concerned from a liability stand point.

I hope Topgun and the other Square Badge folks have been directed to this thread to read and form their own opinion and maybe the State agency that licenses and regulates Security Guard Mall Ninjas!!
 
Outstanding! You guys here at BF rock! I feel relieved that if I were ever scammed some of you guys here would have my back.

I'm sure the scammer is secretly following this thread closely. By now you would think that he realized that he screwed up real badly and return the OP's money or knife.

I just don't want to see this guy get away with it. We were/are so close to hammering him, SO CLOSE! What happened all of the sudden? It seems like everyone who put in all the work to track him down just forgot about this from one day to the next. What happened to calling his place of work? Notifying his parents? We have all the resources available to get a hold of him.

Just cause the thread isn't being posted in daily doesn't mean nothing is happening.

If you want to take the reins then by all means, like you said the resources are there.
 
So, he's licensed to carry, Seems the state regulates this, and if he's accused of a felony, his license can get anything from suspended to jerked. He's instantly out of work.


Just an idea, if someone wants to contact HPD and file charges.

Probably requires a conviction in order to strip him of his CCW.

Anyway, I have every confidence those handling this will take it to it's conclusion and that will result in the victims being made whole.
