Slightly Different Zombie Situation

First off, Shaun of the Dead rules!!!!!!!!!!!!
Um, lets see. I will carry MP5 with tons of clips loaded up with good hollow points. Fun (but not mine, would require a trip to go "borrow it")um, not sure why the video's won't post here

I would probably carry my Ar, the strap setup makes it hands free when you need you hands for something else, like the trailmaster

like swinging some skull bashers for up close, or silent dispatch.

back up pistol

I have a couple 72 hour bug out bag kits with all the necessities to survive. Energy bars, water, pack water purifier, lots of ammo.

wife will carry the M1 carbine with a bunch of 30 round mags. light, no kick, easy to use. 110 grain hollowpoints (really zippy)
IMG025.jpg

Back up Glock .40 cal compensated. She is good with this one.
IMG020.jpg

or maybe the .30 carbine AMT, to match the ammo she is using in the M1 (she loves shooting this one)
IMG024.jpg

I will have her carry a rifleman hawk with a 30 inch replacement handle. light enough for her, but heavy enough to do real damage. Zombie brains.

son will be running back up with the 10/22 with a crap load of mags and the Ruger Mark 1 pistol everything (hey, he is still 2 1/2 so just a little guy.......um, ok maybe he won't be ready for that unless this zombie attack takes place later)
or maybe running clean up on the shot gun (again maybe a tad too young )

Oh wait, he is already suited up to fight this zombie

Heck, you guys are so well armed, I think I'll just tag along and bring snacks. Might pack the little Beretta 101 target gun for picking off the occasional straggler, but doubt I'll want to do any whittling on these diseased zombs.

A leatherman Micra,
A rubber chicken
and a spork

that's all I've ever needed for zombie attacks.

If I had to grab what I have on hand here, it would be my Mossberg pump 12 Guage with 00 shot, and my Ruger GP100 357 mag with Federal hollow points. The knife would be my Carbon V Trailmaster. It just happens to be my biggest knife is all.

I'd fit my wife out with a Ruger SP101 357 mag snubbie, and Stoeger Coach gun. That way we'd have parity as far as ammo goes. She'd also get my Ranger RD7. She doesnt' shoot, but I guess she could learn on those zombies.

My four year old would get, oh I don't know maybe a Busse Meaner Street in a Kydex sheath just so she wouldn't feel left out.

If it didn't weigh me down too much, I'd also try to bring along my Cold Steel Special Forces shovel. I'd love to try that out on some zombie heads.

What a great thread (I've just rewatched "Shaun of the Dead"!

What I'd like:

Cold Steel Chisa katana (shame to waste those years of kendo);

Iwama-ryu white oak bokken (as above);

Ralph Martindale bolo machete;

American 180 .22 (has BIG-capacity mags) + say five spare full mags (in shoulder bag);

H&K USP Tactical 9 mm (plus a few full mags) for still-living scavengers and close-range z-splat work;

Camel-bak + jerky + energy bars + Kendal Mint Cake.

In reality:

Cold Steel tanto Spike;

Biggest kitchen knife (pretty big and Japanese!);

My old suburi bokken;

Interalp ice-hammer;

Ancient Haston Alpiniste pack, with bottled water + contents of fridge and larder.

No (legal) gunz around here . . .

No (legal) gunz around here . . .

Where do you live, anyway? Who cares about legality when there's zombies afoot?

I should talk, I live in California, where you can't get a CCW unless...well you just can't get one.

At least I can shoot zombies legally if they come in my living room though...

Well... For folder, I'd just carry whatever I can find first. I'd get a large kitchen knife for the fixed blade. I'd wear a pair of jeans, a T shirt, a warm jacket. A flashlight, a pack of gum, a watch, and any gun chambered in a defensive caliber would do. I'd be more worried about hiding, than running and gunning.

First I would strap on my Busse CG FBM on my right hip, it would be much more effective than any crowbar or lead pipe at ending the re-animated's hunger. Next would be my Blackwater Chest Rig complete with 4 M4 Magazines, my Kimber 1911 and 4 mags as well as my ZT 0302. Over my left hip would go my HawkePak Rifle Bug Out Bag stocked with a prybar and other tools, food, water and my Sig 229 with 4magazines and 6 more M4 mags. Finally my primary weapon of choice would be my LMT Defender Rifle. So is 300 rifle rounds and 100 pistol rounds enough? I know the Battle Mistress is enough.

I'd tow my woodchipper to the driveway, hang a sign saying: "Free Brains" over the conveyor belt, then go inside the house to make some snacks.

I personally feel that 22 cal. is rather light for zombies, but to each his own.

From stuff that I actually posess, I would go with my CS Bushman and then either my Opinel #12 or my Waved Endura. For a gun the best that is available is only a bolt action Springfield 30-06.
.22 would still probably pierce the skull of a zombie who's body is decomposing and rotting.

If I could choose items that I don't own then:

Kabar usmc
2 paul chen katanas(don't wanna be fighting with a kabar lol)
9mm glock 17(distant zombies won't be a threat)
couple extra mags
FAK
couple of diamond stones
lots of ammo in bag
lots of food
2L bottle
water purification tablets
fenix l2d q5
lots of AA batteries
night vision
kevlar from head to toe
boots
phone
radio
rain coat
some C4 strapped to my chest incase I get cornered.
