coffeecup; why don't you email me, i am interested in the whittler, even if it is stainless. as it is right now, i am not using the trapper anyways because it doesn't jive with me, so i may as well go ahead and send it to someone that will. also, it is worth it to try that pattern.

just a question, what is the spring arrangement? which spring is the small clip on? the same as the main blade or the coping blade? or is it double springed? please don't tell me it is actually three different springs...

anyways, email me and we will work out the details.

how's this? I'll send you the whittler so you can check it out, you can send it back or send the Boker or we can work something out. (And I can sure understand trying out a pattern with what you can find; I've got a Rough Rider elephant toenail for the same reason.)

The knife has two springs. The main blade is on one, the cope and small clip blade are on the other. I used to have one (a Rodgers, IIRC) that had 3 springs and german silver dividers, and it was like carrying a brick!

OK, will post this, go figure how to send email here, and edit the original post.

And Thanks!

that sounds good. you can just click on my name, and it will give you a few options. one of the options is "email siguy". just click that and it should pull up your microsoft outlook or whatever you use with my email address already in the address field.

alright good to hear about that spring arrangment. i have a buck stockman with three springs and it is like carrying a brick. it is relegated to my "at home" whittling knife.

Hi all, I have a schrade USA 340T stockman (I have two, but ain't partin with the one) that I would like to trade for a SS case medium stockman. I am really only looking for the one with the spey blade, clip and sheepsfoot.

I have a 340T that I use for whittling and want to compare.

The 340t is carbon steel and is in great shape. USER cases are fine.

Thanks!
brett

below are actual pics of the knife. There is NO rust or corrosion on this knife but the shield and scales are different from my keeper. this one has black scales and the shield says ILA.

Hi Brett,

If you would be up for a fairly recent WR Case & Sons medium stockman with the blade line up you describe and in some sweet bone scales and your USA 340T is unused(can't tell from your pictures) then we will most likely be perhaps able to trade, me thinks?!.

Let me know at:

I have Case medium Stockman CV i'd like to trade. No box. The stockman is in very nice, minty condition. I have more pics if you are interested.

I'd like most anything USA Old Timer except 34OT, i got 2 now, OR open to most any carbon steel folder/fixed blade.

Thanks for looking
