Imperial knife maked Providence R.I, USA. this is a 2 blade electricians knife with brown scales, some shrinkage on the scales, blades in good shape. has bail. up for trade since i won't carry it. if interested please email to jgp6204@sbcglobal.net I'll have pics by monday evening. thanks all. ahgar

Figured I'd drop a line in the water about this one...

I'm looking for a decent 2-blade jack pattern, but a nice fat one (for example, a Case 3299 pattern or similar). I want to try out the pattern for a user, so it doesn't have to be minty-fresh, but it'd be nice to find one in good shape.

I've got a couple things I could trade, namely a two-blade Schrade Old Timer folding hunter (125OT if I remember correctly) in great shape with a nice patina on both blades and leather belt sheath in good shape, a Ka-Bar of the same pattern in good user condition, and a couple other slipjoints (I'd have to take an inventory and see what else I could part with...).

Anybody want to make something happen?

(Can swap pics, too.)

Puukkoman, any interest in barlows? You can send me a e-mail if you want.
Jim

I've got a Scagel #3 I have enjoyed carrying and using that could find a new home, please feel free to email me. I can send pics. Not really hunting for anything currently but US made is always good.

I wish I had something to get your scagel off of you hinterland, but I have lower dollar slippies I would like to swap out for decent condition Uncle Henry USA slippies (except 897UH) or a Schrade 97OT. I have a few decent ones up for swapping:

Boker Grand Canyon Jigged bone congress - great shape, carbon blades have darkend with age appears to have the factory edge.

Case (1981) jigged bone stockman - good shape, its been there done that and has lots of life left.

Camillus - 2 bladed pen knife, model 709, fake jigged bone handles, convexed edge nice and sharp, a great small little slippie

Ludwig Groten hunter trapper - very near mint, bone scales, big spear point and a very sharp saw blade. I believe this knife was commissioned by Parker in the 80's and imported it from Solingen. Apparently Groten owned the David Evertz factory until 1980, there is not a whole lot of information on this knife, but its very nice and made well.

*edit - I can send pics upon request, please email if interested.

I've got an uncle henry 807, american made, exc condition. looking for another slippy. currently on a peanut binge but i'm open.
i'll have pics on tuesday if you're interested. email to jgp6204@att.net
U.S. only please

Foilist, you need to update your email as I was unable to contact you regarding your listing. (Email bounced)

Not a slippy, but still traditional. . . {snip}

Folks, let's keep the "slippie swap meet" area confined to the trading and exchanging of slipjoints. The reasons are twofold.

First, this way Gus and I don't have to become arbiters of what is and isn't traditional when someone decides that his particular flavor of knife is appropriate here.

Second, there is already a trade/exchange area on bladeforums set up for the exchange of knives and other items.

This particular little area is a niche provided as a courtesy to the members of our sub-forum and what we don't want is for it to become used and abused to the point where it would be curtailed. Of course this doesn't preclude your using email or PM's to contact those from the forum whom you have reason to think may be interested in your fixed blade. Thanks for your cooperation.

No problem, Foilist. I tried to email you but it bounced back to me. Perhaps you can check into that when you have an opportunity. Thanks.

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie around here. I am an alox SAK collector/user mostly but I have taken an interest in USA made medium stockman pattern knives with carbon steel blades.

What I have for trade is a very nice 99' model(I believe) Stag handled Mini Copperlock that I bought new. I did carry the knife for a while but used it very little. It does have a few faint scratches on the blade but I couldn't get them to show up in any of the pictures that I took earlier so I didn't include blade shots, but I can try again if someone needs more pics.

Anyways, I would like to do some kind of trade deal for a very nice to mint medium sized stockman with carbon steel blades. Also, I like the ones that have the more rounded bolsters like the Case 3318 CV(just ordered a 3318CV), and in the pictures I've seen I really like the looks of the Sowbelly Stockman knives that are also medium sized, 3 1/8 - 3 5/8 apprx. I am also VERY fond of the blue handled knives whether it be jigged, or smooth bone, and I would really like to find a blue one but I am open to other colors. I also love wood scales.

Knife has been SOLD

Moore Maker
Queen (in D2)
Case
Many others I can't remember...LOL!

I have a nice Bertram Hen Norfork style whittler dressed in stag I'll trade for a very clean to mint Ulster Dwight Devine scout 1502. I can take better pictures if needed. Not too many knives have polished tangs like this one. Nice carbon steel, main blade is about as stout as they get.

I've got a new, unused Boker Copperhead in Appaloosa Bone (carbon blades) and a new, unused Russell (Boker made) two blade Barlow (spear/pen) in antique green bone.

Not looking for anything specific off the top of my head but maybe Case, Moore Maker, Queen, Schrade, Winchester or the like in carbon steel. Shoot me an email if you have any thoughts as I usually forget to check this thread. (I tend to like equal-ends, stockmen, trappers, saddlehorns, moose/texas jacks, sowbellies etc.)

Thanks.
