You once again fail to see the issue. The buyer isn't happy, in which case it is only right to give him a refund. No matter how much he "pisses you off.' Not helping him because he is rubbing you the wrong way is childish.

Seems to me that's EXACTLY what he's doing. So far, he's offered a refund at least twice.

I posted the thread I bought the knife from, the seller claimed it came back from Darrel's. I had the knife, and it locked. Pressing directly down on it it stayed locked. It was fine when I shipped it. So, here again, same claims. You just keep mixing it up to continue smearing. You want a refund or not. I keep saying lets continue this in email and you keep bringing it back. I'll sit here for another 2hours defending myself. Your first post you editted. Before editting it you said, YOU DID NOT WANT A REFUND. I still am offering a fix, but it will require you to send it back to me first.

The Paypal claim won't do anything. Your credit card will do a charge back. I'll file a claim with Paypal, Paypal defends the seller first. I have proof you received the knife. There is no formal invoice. Paypal gets the money back into my account. Money will go from me to you and back to me and it will take about a month. You file a claim, you lose. I don't care for that much as I am no thief nor care to rip anyone for $350, price you paid for that knife...

You want resolve, apologize for jumping on my name and posts and send me the knife back in the same condition I sent it to you. Otherwise I don't know what else to do.

You sold me a bad knife and you still wont admit it. I am not out to smear your name, I merely told people exactly what happened. You yourself are smearing your own name, by not accepting responsibility for your actions. A quick refund would have put a early stop to this. Now you expect me the guy that got screwed, to ship you the knife first and apologize to you???

HAHAHAH. So wait, now you want him to refund your money with no guarantee that you'll send the knife. I mean, you originally paid him with no guarantee, right? How is this different? By your admission, he hasn't ripped you off. You have to keep a level head. Often enough knives get damaged in transit. It seems REALLY unlikely that he knowingly sent you a defective knife (especially at this price point.)

Looks to me like this is a clear miscommunication and a case of "green" buyer. These threads pop up once in a while where someone makes the thread without exhausting all private means first. Personally, I'd do everything short of moving mountains to have this not end up on GBU (if I was on either side of the dispute) but whatever some folks have to learn the hard way.

I don't see an apology in your future. Its really not that big a deal. Folks see how you work (or don't) to resolve this and THEN make a decision on whether to deal with you. An apology won't sway folks one way or another (at least it won't for me).

Okay, Here's My Two Pennies... Like Anyone Really Cares But.....
Big Boss, You SHOULD Have Talked To Him More, And Cleared Everything Completely Up BEFORE Bringing It Here.
Sloth, Understand That Maybe You Didn't Send The Knife That Way But It Is That Way So, There For It Is A Bad Knife.
Big Boss, I Now Do NOT Think Sloth Would Have Intentionally Sold You A Bad Knife. It Just Turned Out Not So Great.
Sloth, I Do NOT Think You're Going To Get An Apology, But Threatening NOT To Do A Refund Unless You Receive One Is Not The Way To Go.
Big Boss, You Trusted Him With Your Money Once, He Sent The Knife, You're Unhappy With The Knife, You Had No Idea Whether You'd REALLY Get The Knife To Begin With But DID, So Really It's A 50/50 Chance Either Way. So You're Taking the Chance Twice, But He Was Good To His Word Before And Has Been MANY Times. So Sending the Knife First, Seems Fair.
Sloth, I Have No Doubt You'll Get The Knife Back. I Think Big Boss Will Truly Send It. So Get It Fixed When You Get It, And You'll Either Have A Bad Ass Knife, Or You Could Re-Sell It. But I'd Be Honest About This Issue In That Thread.
Big Boss, I Have No Doubt You Will Get Your Money The Moment Sloth Gets The Knife. Now You Know How To Properly Deal With A Bad Transaction Later On If You Ever Come Across Another.

To Both Of You, This Thread Is Completely Ridiculous. Big Boss Should Have Talked More Before Posting It. But I Think You Both Did A Couple Of Wrong Things. But You Live And Learn.

I Think You Should BOTH Apologize To Each Other, Shake Hands, Switch The Transaction And Have No Bad Blood And/Or Hard Feelings Between You.

This Thread Should Only Be Written In Further By The OP And Sloth When Sloth Receives The Knife And Big Boss Receives His Money. Then It Should Be Closed And Completely Removed If Possible. Enough People Have Seen It Already, No Need For Others To Judge Anyone On Poor Communication And A Bad Misunderstanding.

SWMBO has spoken!
Now evrabuddy group hug....it's gonna be christmas soon.
Bladechick, you can be in the middle. :D  :p

To all those people saying I jumped the gun, please watch the video, there is NO WAY he did not know about the defect, and the defect was not something that happens in transit. There was no refund Offered until the halfwaypoint of this thread, I asked for one before I posted on here.

As for his claims of offering to pay to get it fixed, it is something he should have gotten done on his time. I should not have to run to the post office and wait weeks for my knife to return. He should have made the condition of the knife clear in his sales thread

I sent two emails to him

His reponses were

"Thats how the knife is suppose to be"
"I should talk to Darrel Ralph"

I sent him an additional email demanding my money back, no response from him

When I posted the video, he started saying that he tested the knife and it was fine when it left his possession.

After public opinion turned on him, He finally offered me a refund but only if I woukd ship first and apologize
Im only getting a refund because of this thread and on the terms of the person who is in the wrong.

Anybody that read the thread can see that I have been consistent with my story and have a video to back up my claims. Read the thread and see how many times sloth tries to deflect blame and change his story. He keeps on saying Im dragging his name through the mud, there has been no insults or name callimg on my part, I only presented the facts.

There was no offers from him to make it right, He even ended one of his emails with this

"I guess if you don't like it then you can easily turn around and sell it for more as it is a $450+ knife. Sorry you aren't happy though."

are those the words of somebody willing to make things right?????

NO REFUND was offered to me until this thread was well underway

What rules am I breaking here?? I came on here to share my bad experience with a seller, Im not making up lies I have proof.

And how can anybody expect the person that got screwed in the previous transaction to send out his share first for the next transaction?

Plus he has made it clear there will be no deals unless I apologize to him. For What????

The rule you broke was posting your complaint in 3 of his other sales threads AND his Visitor Message box.

We don't know who got screwed here and we don't care. Reverse the deal without repeatedly going back to the beginning of the misunderstanding.

Plus he has said a lot of things and so have you. FORGET THE ARGUMENT AND SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

If either of you want to argue any more, argue with this:
In the original transaction, you sent money and he sent the knife.
Reverse that, he sends the money and you send the knife.

This has gone on long enough.

My apologies I must have misunderstood the purpose of the GBU.

As for the "misunderstanding" I believe I made the situation perfectly clear to him in my initial emails.

I will be shipping the knife out to him first, amd taking the chance that I will never see my money.
Nothing else to be said, will update if he does not refund.
