Small compact knife for short hikes.

I carry a mora usually the 2000 or a clipper but i do love the look of your ranger knife!
I just did a quickie search and don't see many vendors.
Where did you get yours? Can anybody recommend a good seller that ships them outside the U.S?
The pics i have found (the pics here are better!) show them wrapped with paracord. Do they have predrilled rivet/pin holes under the paracord?
I don't have a problem rehandling knives but drilling holes in steel is a major pain.
Got mine from Justin at RK. Your best bet is to go directly to rangerknives.com for contact info, and either call or email Justin regarding a custom shiv. His standard production shiv is para wrapped, not sure if they are predrilled other than for a lanyard. Just tell him what you want and he will create it at a cost not much more than the standard. They are tough little knives, 1095 carbon steel, 4 inch blade and about 8.5 inches LOA. Looks like mine is 3/8 thick at the spine. Pick a grind and handle material and you are good to go. Justin is so easy to deal with that it probably won't be your last knife from him:)

Mmmm..... me likee! What's that sheath like?

Ontario RAT-3

Bark River Fox river, North star, gameskeeper, Bravo1
Busse Active duty, mean street, gamewarden
Swamp Rat howling rat, ratmandu
Falkniven F1, S1

The RAT-3 sheath is fairly sweet, but has no adjustment for later on when the knife gets a little more loose. It comes with a Tek-Lok and a clip that attach to the Kydex. Pretty cool, but really, I could gripe all day about the lack of thought given to sheaths and Tek-Loks. Matching up the mounting holes in more than one position is trying, and matching it up in more than two is flat impossible. Just another 5 or 10 minutes at the drawing board (by someone who actually USES this stuff) would've done the trick.

I used to carry a Bark River Mini NorthStar.
Now it's a Bark River Kephart.
That RAT-3 would be good.
Most Mora's are right up there.
SAK with a saw.

My opinion and I'm sticking to it. Except when I change my mind.
