Good evening everyone. I recently picked up a rat izula and have to say I'm really enjoying the small fixed blade so far. That being said now I'm looking at adding a couple more. The boker rhino looks pretty cool and i like Vox designs but don't know about that steel, the gnome looks too small. So since I'm just getting into these what do you guys like/ reccomend? Blade length below 4" and open to all suggestions since I'm learning. Thanks.

Adding to what has already been listed - BRKT Mini Fox River or Gunny, Dozier Modified Personal or Arkansas Toothpick (or New York Special), CPK EDC (or EDC2), Spyderco Mule

Thanks for the input so far everyone. Im reading up on all these suggestions. Thanks again and keep them coming.

Tops Mini Scandi Knife(MSK). I actually prefer mine to my Guardian 3, though the G3 is a pretty damn unbeatable EDC fixed blade. The MSK is more suited as a woodworking blade than an EDC blade. The only thing I don’t particularly care for is that the sheath is neck carry only. They do have a slightly larger one with a leather sheath called the Trekker. I usually just toss it in my back pocket.

My one and only picture of my G10 MSK.

I've owned about 8 Bradford Guardian 3's in 3V, M390 and Vanadis 4E. I love 'em. Horizontal carry in factory leather sheath. Been carrying one every day for over two yrs... Also carry my large Sebbie clipped in rh front pocket.

Dozier Canoe perhaps with his great horizontal kydex sheath? I have a a sheepfoot personal (2.5" blade) and a K-6 Companion (~3" blade) that I like as well.

I also like the White River Backpacker Pro. Have a Blackjack 155 that is a neck knife that is sized nicely but you have to pay attention where you place your hands as there is no guard of any sort.

What price bracket are you looking in? Because smaller fixed blades custom made are often around the price of pricier production folders.

There's a whole handmade knife world out there to discover.

Im looking to keep it under $300.

Thanks for all the responses so far. Dubble Tapp, Dozier, Creely, Moki are all knives I haven't seen so it will be good to read up on them. Thanks for the pictures as well.
