Small Fixed Blade

Ya know Dave, sometimes, ya just don't play fair at all. ;)

OP,
Dave gets my top endorsement for making fantastic knives and virtually all are small blades. You won't be disappointed. I have his Sonoran Belt knife. Beautiful!

You can probably save a bit of time by just searching Bird & Trout knives. They are defined by being small, almost always 4" or less. B&T's make up a good percentage of my collection. Other makers to check out.

Arno Bernard. A lot of small knives. His Bush Baby series are all under 6" OAL, his Scavenger series are all under 7.5" OAL Also his Marabou, Batelure, Marmoset...

LT Wright. Love my Coyote. A Great Plainsman is probably in my own future as well at some point.

White River - Small game, Scout or Caper

Moki

Ohta

Menefee - 16 bore
I have been starting to look at Dave’s knives and will likely pull the trigger early in the new year. Great looking knives and sheaths.

I have also been impressed with my Grohmann knives. Canadian company that has been around over 60 years. Most of their fixed blades are under $100US. I have a bunch of them and they are extremely well made.

If you are open to a small fixed blade, the LT Wright Patriot is definitely worth a look
Or what about something like this?

Manly Patriot might be worth a look. Its blade is just under 4-inches at 95mm. So is the Enzo Trapper 95. I find that length in a full flat grind to be a sweet spot for a utility blade.
