Small fixed blades

Another nice looking knife!

Does he happen to offer it with a belt sheath? A neck knife wouldn't be to convinent because I can't carry it concealed...

I was going to suggest the Nimravus Cub...
The only reason I don't have one is the bottom knife in the crappy scan attached:D Since you already have the BM, and don't need to be in a hurry, why not get a custom so you can choose the materials, handle and blade length, all that stuff?
That's a Rinaldi Gambit, btw (sized to my specs for horizontal belt carry), but check out his Spook. www.thrblades.com I'm having him make me one, and am trying to decide on what blade style I want. He normally makes the recurve pictured on his site and a tanto, but I'm thinking about a wharncliffe, since that would fill a niche for me, and probably see alot more use. Decisions, decisions...
The top knife is a DDR CF ArcLite. Darrel makes a 4" version, too.
Wonderful knives, and getting to deal with people like Trace and Darrel makes them "special".
Lots of great custom makers out there, and having one built for you beats ordering something that a million other people have from a dealer any day.

B, that Dozier looks great.

Here are a few possibilities. The first is a convex ground Dozier General Utility in D2 with Kydex sheath. The next is an ANSO Hybrid in stainless damascus with lizard skin covered leather sheath. The third is a Blackjack Small, convex ground 52100 with backpocket sheath.

That Simonich Crowfoot also sounds like a great match!!!!

I bought a Dozier Companion with horizontal belt sheath at the NY show. I like it a lot, it's a great knife, and an incredible value at less than $200. Take a look at it while you are looking at his other pieces.

Gene Ingram makes some real clean knives for under $100.00.He also uses D2

Happy New Year!! Excellent Pics ! My vote is the Shadow III. 4 1/4 " blade, not threatening and looks good in a concealex sheath.

Accepts the mini-teklock . . . my fave belt carry method. Also accepts kydex J-clips.

gordyt beat me to it. I was gonna suggest the Camillus Talon or Talon II in talonite. The Dozier blades look great though, and seem to have a lot of fans. On the subject of the Dozier designs, what do you guys think of the Ka-bar "thorn" (Dozier design)?

There have been a lot of great recommendations in this thread. Have you looked at any knives from R.W. Clark? I recently got one of his model 6's in S30V. Fit and finish are good, it feels good in the hand, and they are priced right. Here is a link to his site:

Bob's knives are awfully hard to beat in that size range.., but I'd also take a look at Mike Irie's knives. Very nice.., and a lot of bang for the buck!

I would strongly suggest the Busse Active Duty. It is a well built knife with a great design and bullet-proof warranty. I carry one with a Buy Brown sheath every day in my front pocket, and it's perfect. I haven't seriously considered buying another knife since I got this one.

IMO, about the best darn using knife you can buy. I now have three, it's like eatin' potato chips... caint have just one! The one I find myself carrying/using almost daily is my straight personal. It's an under 3" blade that uses much bigger but carries small. It has one of Bob's fantastic horizontal kydex belt sheaths that just disappears when you wear it. Also small enough to drop into your front pocket. I also have an Arkansas toothpick, which I find to be my choice for when I feel the need to carry a SD blade. The third is a recent acquisition... a stag handled slim outdoorsman. This knife is bigger than I thought, and is off to Kenny Rowe to have a nice leather sheath to compliment the stag. Since I have gotten a few convex edged blades, and have discovered how darn sharp and easy to resharpen they are... a convex K1 ala Buzzbait's is looking pretty tempting.
Doziers, great knives period.

You might also consider L6steel, Michael Cooper.
I have two of his cajun wharncliffs. Excellent little knife. I might get another without the hook. Very affordable, very nice, and another great guy to deal with.
