Smaller K2? Lil' K2?

A small version of the K2 has me very excited Sal and Farid! Would love to see this come to fruition. Like others that have voiced their opinion on the original K2, I absolutely love the design, aesthetics, and steel choice, but unfortunatly I have not yet picked one up due to it's size. A smaller version, for me at least, would make for an exceptional edc.

A sub 3.75" 10v folder designed by Farid and produced by Sal? I'm on it like green on broccoli. I'll echo the sentiment that size is the only thing that has kept me from buying a K2. Everything else about the K2 checks all the boxes for me. However, 4+ inches is fixed blade territory in my usage.

Sweet! Big news.
Great to see threads come together and produce results!
Thanks Darby for starting the thread, and of course Farid and Sal for making it happen! :)
Cannot wait to see a rendering or proto of what it may look like, and possible size specs!

Wonderful news! Thanks Sal and Farid for your awesome and continued collaboration.
And thanks Darby for saying what was on our minds:p

Awesome! Please keep the sharpened edge under 4" for legal carry reasons here (People's Republic of Connecticut).

I am very excited to see the mini K2 go in to production, many thanks to Sal for moving forward with this project.

Just round the edges this time.

And here I thought I already had the small K2 :)

Kidding aside, this is great news! I already have two k2's and I'd get a smaller one as well. They are my EDC!

Great collaboration.

Just round the edges this time.

This so much. I love the design, but the square edges made the K2 virtually unusuable for me in nearly every grip. Rounding or chamfering the edges on the scales would go a long way to making the knife complete, rather than the painful, half-finished feel of the current version.

Let's have a lunch in Amsterdam again Sal,and i would be a great host for us all and pay the bill!
Respectfully,Rob.

Speedholes and Foofie, I would say you're welcome for starting this thread but I just asked what I had heard others say. I thought a smaller version would be nice and after hearing multiple other people on the forums say the same thing I figured it was worth asking. I have almost bought the K2 a couple of times but it is just too large for me.

Keep it right hand, tip down and 10V and I will be thrilled!!! Thanks so much Sal and Farid. Glad I could help! ;)

I agree that tip up carry on this will be a sales point for many.
And yeah, 10V, I'm real keen to have a folder with that.
