Smaller K2? Lil' K2?

I can't wait for this to happen, please keep us all in the loop as to dates!

I love the larger Spyderco knives - Military being my favorite platform, but the K2 was/is just massive. I will be purchasing the smaller version - hopefully with a 3.75" blade.

Sorry, this is an old forum, but it has to be said. Any folder between 3 inches to 3.5 inches made of 10v or K390 would be amazing! I usually have to go custom to get knives with this steel, but if there was a production, and pocket friendly, wow!! I would stock up on those!!

I am glad this got bumped. I am all over this knife. I also hope we get a Mule in 10V at some point.

The original was too big for me. Handle is very wide. I'd be interested in a smaller version.

I've been looking at the K2 lately in order to try out 10V. A smaller K2 would probably sell very well in my opinion. Anyway , does 10V form a patina ?

Yes, it is a non-stainless steel.

I had my K2 bowie tip made into a drop point. I had a regrind done and finished up on the WE. REK did a Great job. The drop point is a much more useful

and practical blade shape IMO. The blade has a cutting edge of 3 & 15/16. Cuts like a laser. It's one of my favorite knives. I have big hands, I don't mind

the size of the K2 at all. It's one of those knives that has grown on me. One of my favorite knives now. The DP blade makes a big difference in this knife!

Just round the edges this time.

Like this :)

That looks fantastic! Not sure why you'd want a hard edged handle on a hard use knife..? At the very least a heavy chamfer improves ergos immensely.

How did you do the radius? Looks like it would be very comfortable.

Yes 10v and K390 do cut like lasers! They are my favorite steels. So easy to sharpen and hold an edge so well! Would love a smaller folder with one of those steels!!

Easy to sharpen? That's impossible! Everybody knows that a super steel has to be hard to sharpen. ;) Yeah, right. Another knife legend buried.

i'd be very interested in this, but not smaller than 3.5" blade. i have no interest in knives smaller than that.

K390 is not bad but 10v is like sharpening ceramic.

Jimbo75, Josh of Razor Edge Knives did the work for me.

Interesting, my 10V knife is one of the easiest sharpening knives that I have. Very thin and quick to take an edge.

My K2 is about .018 behind the bevel so it's a little thicker but not overly so. The steel takes a phenomenal edge rather easily but it's without doubt the most wear resistant steel I have sharpened. Makes my Coarse DMT feel like the EXtra Fine.

Interesting. How about when mine gets dull I'll send it to you and you can compare? Fair warning, it might be a while... ;)
