SMKW

I missed that part. Is that a BF rule?
No, it's a common sense rule...it's the duty of the seller to get the item to the buyer. Any shipping issues are the seller's problem, therefore shipping insurance protects the seller and is the seller's responsibility.

Yes it is.

So, it looks like every FS thread for the SMKW exclusive is gonna be a dumpster fire. 🤣

Glad I scored one so I won't have to deal with the obvious flippers.

I don't see that. I went to the site and ran through the whole process up to payment. Shipping was free as well. ????
It's been a few years since I ordered as I found it extremely off-putting, there was definitely a $1.95 insurance charge in addition to the shipping fee...the total for two $10 RoughRyders was $30. Maybe they have changed their policies since then.

A seller typically charges a "fully-loaded" price - covering the seller's cost for the goods plus all business expenses - utilities, labor, insurance, transportation - if any, etc. While postal insurance insures the sender, its cost will typically be covered by the price to the buyer. In the real world. Charging it separately is simply clumsy business.

late last year i was in the market for a BK21. Seemed like Nobody had them, or they were going for Way too much.... I was worried they might of been discontinued?

Well, just a few days before Christmas I found them appear on SMKW, and I pounced.... And they were actually on sale. By far the best prices I've seen.
I didn't need it by any date, I was just glad they were in stock.
so I bought it, and received it BEFORE X_MAS!!!!

idk if you remember all the hubub with the postal service this last year or so? They Suck!
i don't remember who they used, maybe Fedex, or UPS? idk but WOW..... just a couple days before Christmas.....haha.

I was So thrilled that, at the time I thought about writing up something positive about them here.......
It was my first time buying from SMKW, and I Definitely will be buying again. Thank You.

Smkw is good in my book, just got a jade g10 ultratech, ordered Friday night and had it by Tuesday!

I have an order of a couple of SAKs on the way from SMKW, one of which is A. hard to find and B. expensive when you DO see it, but they were charging the normal price for it, so I swooped in. Now, they DID sit on the order for a day, but ultimately, I got my tracking number and those knives are actually out for delivery, so Friday is lookin' up!!!

Update for anyone who missed out. Second version coming with a satin blade. Noted in the knife packaging.

S45VN and I might be tempted, thanks D Danke42 for the heads up (I’ll keep a look out for it), but the $45 extra for just the added scales & M4 is a tough sell (for me) over a basic priced new S45VN G-10 Black, and it’s one that I could upgrade myself to any scale and hardware if I so choose (with no scramble, quick sell out, and web site crashing problems). Now a Satin Tanto M4 ???

I’d much rather spend less and get more even more value with the Crucarta $171 coming up soon, and also at all the other dealers too, so not a single store exclusive.

SMKW burned me last year and I still have a bad taste left over from it, it would take a lot for me to pull the trigger with that store at this point of time.

Tried ordering the jade Ultratech…….they are one of the only dealers that won’t send an auto to NJ.
Sucks

Yes, places like NY, NJ, and CA are the worst states for gun and knife rights. Glad it don't live in one of those.
Even if something might be legal I can see many vendors just avoiding them period.
