SMoke and prayers for a girl I know...

Yes, day in and day out for nearly three years the community has lived with this cloud. Even local dump trucks carry the posters. Every billboard, everywhere you look is Holly's face or a pink ribbon. My pink ribbon has faded t owhite. I need a new one now.

TBI just announced a press conference at the courthouse in 3 1/2 hours, Grand Jury is convening, multiple arrests expected though via various sweeps this past week, all of the "persons of interest" seem to be in custody at the moment. WSMV reporting 'they expect more than one arrest'. TBI sources tell our most trusted reporter, "Highly placed Law Enforcement source tells me 'we feel good. This is a good day'."

I'll be on the courthouse lawn at 4:00 sharp.

True bill of indictment on two counts, especially aggravated kidnapping and felony murder against Zachery Adams.Indictments of others to follow. Holly is dead. And an old man sits listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn "Sky is crying" and weeping for Holly.

I weep for Holly, for her family and friends ... as countless others do. Sharing in the rage against injustice.

Codger,
My Prayers are with Holly's Family and Friends,
In Caring For Others, Please Take Care of Yourself Also.

Smoke and prayers for her family and friends, nothing they could ever do to the scum involved will ever being her back but at least they can move on, it seems like forever since a guy I worked with (Richie Kanka's) little girl was was found dead, the only thing that kept him together was that they found her body and with that the scum that killed her. His daughter was Megan and Richie and his wife championed the creation of the law now known as Megan's Law.

I'd love to say time makes it easier but it won't, the community has come around and the news reporters only come around on the anniversary of her death and the passing of the law other than that the town is quiet and the Kanka's have long since moved but there's always a feeling that engulfs the town, a somber cloud hovers over the people who live there and you can tell that there's a fear in the town a pain that'll never go away.

I hope the family, friends and community can find some closure now and get on with their lives and families, thanks for the continued updates.

This makes me feel so terrible, but it's not a surprise. I'm just wondering why it took so damned long to get these guys.

During the press conference yesterday afternoon, the Director of TBI, the SAC of the FBI and the county Sheriff refused to directly answer that question. Unofficial sources say that yes, remains or partial remains, as well as other evidence tying the suspect to the abduction and murder were recovered last Friday. At this point only the family and the grand jury members know exactly, oficially, what has been found and contained in the sealed indictment. The case is, odd in my view, to be prosecuted by our District Attorney General Hansel McAdams. While the arraignment scheduled for Tuesday will likely be held here, I seriously doubt that the trial will be.

Tears and prayers on the way for Holly and all that knew and loved her.
I hope the dirtbag that did it die an ugly and painful death.

Thanks guys, for myself and my family, the community and Holly's family. Things are certainly not settled. As the TBI and FBI stated, the investigation is ongoing. Your's truly is playing a small part as I am able. My local photos and such are being sent to a Fox affiliate reporter. A FB find I sent this morning made the evening news, it also went to the LE agencies for their files.

While a core group is being held in scattered facilities, others are still being brought in for questioning from as far away as Indianapolis and as close as down the street.

I can't believe it has been this long since you first posted about Holley. I gotta be honest, I haven't been following this thread much, until today.
Something told me I needed to look.

I am certainly glad to hear they got the low life p.o.s that are responsible for this horrific crime. At least now the family can have a small amount of closure, even though she will never be safely back home... :(

I have so many things I would like to do to that piece of human garbage. It would certainly be the last time he had a smile of any sort on his face
He deserves to spend the rest of his days behind bars, being tortured in truly inhumane ways.

How many people do they think were actually involved in this, or are they saying ?

Codg, am I correct in assuming the guys are local? Why didn't they come to law enforcement's attention at the beginning? I think serious question need answers.

They were on the radar and some evidence was gathered early on. But not enough for a strong conviction of all involved. There were no actual witnesses but those involved. And of course now there were those who didn't participate in the crime(s) but knew and either helped to cover it up or hide their knowledge of the crime becoming acessories after the fact.

I mentioned in the beginning that my daughter was one of the searchers. Retrospectively if what I am hearing is true, she was within 200 yards of the site of the most gruesom part of the crime when her group was told that there was a "find" and the volunteer searchers were sent home by LEOs on the scene. This would have been within hours of the perps leaving the scene with most of the evidence, if the story is correct. And it may be a year before an actual trial where evidence is revealed and the story revealed by the prosecution. Or there may not be a trial if all accused plea, in which case the public may never know the details of exactly what transpired.

Reportedly the main suspect has already gotten a major "Dixie head pat" in jail and been moved to solitary for his safety. Meanwhile he is going through meth withdrawl in a major way. Arrest records show that he has been not just a user but a cooker for years. So his decent into his own personal "hell" is just beginning. I hope he is being monitored so that he isn't allowed to take the "easy way out".

Another person of interest was reportedly taken into custody yesterday but isn't yet showing up on Vinelink. Suspect #1's arraignment is scheduled here on Tuesday. I have my doubts that the actual trial will be held here if he has any effective council.
