smoke and prayers needed

An update. Jessy is healing really well from the surgery on the 16th, though the itching from the incision healing is making her crazy. The Gamma knife on the 29th went really well, though they did find 2 more tiny tumors, but all 5 of them were treated. Jessy started radiation this morning and chemo this afternoon. Her nurse at the chemo center is amazing and made Jess feel less anxious. So all in all, everything is moving along swiftly and her spirits are quite high. Radiation is going to be for 7 weeks and the chemo will be possibly only 2 rounds. I should be able to go visit the hubby for close to three weeks when this first round of her chemo is over. :) Thanks again for all the positive thoughts being sent to my family and Jessy.

Sorry as I also missed this initially. Smoke and prayers from the bayou. Please enjoy every moment y'all can share.

sorry I missed this earlier -- very good news!
smoke & prayers heading up and out.

Jessy is in good spirits but the daily radiation and chemo treatments are making her very tired. Just wanted to update everyone. She is my hero. Thank You for being here guys and gals!!

Bumping to let you all know if you would like to send well wishes to Jessy i have put her CaringBridge info in my sig line.

an update on Jessy, she completed her last round of chemo 2 weeks ago. She had a follow up MRI on her brain today and there are more new tumors AGAIN. Which means she isn't responding to the treatments for the brain. Her radiation on the lung seem to have been working though. The next step is whole head radiation. This is the second time since the original brain surgery that there has been new tumor growth in the head. Things do not look peachy. Prognosis for brain cancer that does not respond to treatment is pretty grim. Please send more good thoughts, Jessy and the family really need a miracle.
