Bought the wife some chocolate covered strawberries, and chocolate covered raspberries for Valentine's Day, that we made at work yesterday. She's sharing them with me this morning. Damn they're good.

me thinks it will be like crispy bacon.

You will need to watch out for a few individuals here, the bacon smell might cause them to start tasting each others brands....

Ooooooh. Zombie Beckerheads!

I am going to the "recycling center" (dump) today because we have like, 6 ft of snow on the ground and have a blizzard warning tonight and tomorrow - 10-20" - and trash pickup is Monday. There's not enough room to drive 2 cars past each other on my street much less put out trash/recycling. I've already lost the trash barrel until spring (I gotta assume it's under the 7 foot tall drift) and one recycling bin got smashed to bits by the plow 3 weeks ago. Even if we only get the low end of the prediction, Monday morning is going to suck.

Lucky...

Im sure someone will have one of the ZK line at the gathering. Y'all will be fine.

I got an ultimatum from the wife I couldn't turn down. If I skip the next gathering, she'll spring for my laser vision correction. I figure that will give me time to save for the fall one!

unless the weather liars and www's are lying, the storm potential is vastly downgraded. good.

still single digit temps from sub-zero. brrrr. don't feel like going outside even to drive to the dump. so, i'll make a little pile ready to go out of sight, and do some chores, or something :D

going to be a lazy day. food. stretching. naps. cuz.

and March 1st is a sale for Rockler in Salem for SawStop ;)

It may be easier to just give everyone the same number. How do y'all feel about 369? :p

Aww crap...
Now I'm gonna have to find a design to cover up this BH191 tramp stamp...

I'm thinking a howling wolf silloueted into a moon with an eagle soaring over horse riding native Americans. Maybe toss in a wizard and possibly a dragon and warrior chick.

Hey WW, correct me if I am wrong, but the Ptang has the same handle as the Zomstro? (Me thinks). If so, yeah your right, who the hell at ka bar thought that was a comfortable handle must have one f$#¢ed up hand...... anyway, my point, Murph brought his Zomstro to the shop a couple years ago and he and I gave the handle a makeover. Ground the split finger groove out of it and put a more rounded and contoured wood handles on it. It helped tremendously. You might think about that. Its not hard to do.

I remember that one, it turned out awesome!! Love that sheath too. How about i send ya that BK9 for you to set my Ptang up like that LMAO!!!

Just kidding bro, that sheath looks to be worth over a hundred by itself and likely took FOREVER.

I may end up doing something similar in the future. Im happy to be replacing the rough feeling plastic scales with some nice wood ones to start.

We're still under a blizzard warning here on the seacoast.

The SawStop cabinet saw is a well put together piece of equipment, near as I can tell from just looking at it and playing with it in the store.

I feel for you granitestateofmind - we probably have half of what you do on the ground and only getting half of you will get from tonight into tomorrows storm. My dog Pete sure isn't happy about it!

Not sure if you can tell from this pic, but it is already snowing here in Marlborough:

Good luck my brother from the "603"!

it's got some nerdy appeal. very good dust collection.

Rockler store also has Jet and stuff in person.

best thing is, local pickup actually equals savings off amazon/etc

plus some other brands to scope out.

now let's see if if have a rabbet bit for the router. i might make something today.

Yeah, that's the one. Didn't have a pic of it though. Actually, I find that specific knife totally useless. The whole zombie stuff is just a marketing slap in the face from big business to the small guy that really trying to produce good stuff, but Murph received it as a wedding gift, so it has sentimental value to him and he wanted to make it his own. I made the sheath for him as a gift. It turned out nice, but still a shitty concept knife IMO........

Anywho, I got a couple of new Maguas up for adoption in my subforum if any Beckerheads are interested in them I'll knock a little off.

Actually, I find that specific knife totally useless.

I got one from Ethan at the first Gathering I went to, so mine's kind of sentimental too. It's outstanding for cutting water bottles, and I suspect it would cut hanging rope just fine, too. I think it's actually too acute for serious chopping, though... it has decent balance and power but I've found it tends to get stuck a lot. But on soft targets it's pretty darn effective.

I'm apparently the only the only person on the planet who actually likes the handle design :D I can hook my pinky under the rear hook and pull back on the weird front swell with my index finger, and have a very secure grip that makes the most of the knife's whole length for leverage. I still wish it had a forward lanyard hole instead of one at the rear, though... if that thing were to slip out of one's hand on a strong swing and wrap back toward one's arm or body, it could be a very bad, long, expensive day.
