No shit. But then again, I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into getting a scale to fit....especially something as finicky and precise as a folder scale. I'll be trying that when my latest order comes in. Although I really do enjoy making my own....especially all the little flaws (and some big ones, too!) that grab my attention every time I look at them. It's a constant reminder how much I have to learn......just so I don't get cocky. Working on this tonight:
Gotta rough up the pins then epoxy those #u¢keɍ$ together. Might not be tonight, tho, as SWMBO's aunt is sleeping above the drill press. She's cool, so I don't want to keep her from sleeping.

My arms are frozen. Fire arms would be cool......like, Johnny Flame cool. A bed of coals might get a little hot, tho......
What about fireants? I love to shoot those things.
OK, lie. I've never fired anything more powerful than an air rifle. Plus I've heard it's hard to load those bigger caliber fireants because of all the honey.

I asked for 352 originally but was told no because we were not close enough to that number at the time.... But we got NEW people claiming numbers like 888??? ... So i SHOULD of been allowed to be 352. Right?? Right. Thanks
Sorry. I just started chipping in on the BH# stuff. My call? Folks would get the next number in line every time without fail. But a precedent was begun at some point, and now, I just sling numbers at people like a short order cook at a White Castle. 8 sliders? You got it. 17 sliders? You got it. Want some Maalox with that?

Damn! that's a good price. I was looking for a somebody to make a Ti scale for my 0562, then I saw scale prices... and though 'screw it' for what I'll pay for that I could buy another sweet knife!

Looking good Mike.
I have to take a break on grinding and sanding steel and wood for a while as to not make a mess. The realtor comes in a few hours for a walk through, take pictures, and let me sign the new lease... Then supposedly she could be bringing people by to see the place over the next couple months.
Hand filing doesnt make too much of a mess luckily.... But it took me a couple days down there to clean all the dust the last time so im trying to avoid having to deep clean every day. No windows, no draft, just a box... That metal dust gets stuck all over and is hard to get it out of there. 5 minutes of cleaning and the entire basement is dusty and you have to wait for it to settle to start cleaning it up again... Its a PITA.

We all know to blame Trade for any and all problems that exist anywhere on the interwebs

Yea man i looked into having scales made for the Native5 at one point and they wanted the price of the knife for the scales... I had to pass.
I really like the P'tang but the scales suck, these ones should make it one hell of a knife. Now ill need to get a sheath made for it though.... It never ends.....

Moose ain't here though, and Derek and I aren't as demanding.
I won't bump over 1,000 though. I'd rather keep it to three digits until we just have to go over.

Hey WW, correct me if I am wrong, but the Ptang has the same handle as the Zomstro? (Me thinks). If so, yeah your right, who the hell at ka bar thought that was a comfortable handle must have one f$#¢ed up hand...... anyway, my point, Murph brought his Zomstro to the shop a couple years ago and he and I gave the handle a makeover. Ground the split finger groove out of it and put a more rounded and contoured wood handles on it. It helped tremendously. You might think about that. Its not hard to do.
In other news, guess I have a electrical issue in my shop. I was running my welder fabbing up a cabinet to hold all of my work in progress blades. (Theres a lot of them, need some organization) the breaker flipped which has never happened before. But what is stranger than that, is two other breakers flipped that wasnt even on that circuit. Now I know squat about electricity, but I know enough that that isnt right. Gonna call my electrician this morning. See if I can talk him into a couple of beers, then put his ass to work.

The one time I got to be in the room for a surgery, I nearly tossed my cookies. I wasn't the sight of the person being cut open. Hardly any blood.
The scalpel cauterized the incision as it went. Little puffs of smoke came up every now and then. The smell nearly took me out.
And it wasn't bacony goodness.

I am going to the "recycling center" (dump) today because we have like, 6 ft of snow on the ground and have a blizzard warning tonight and tomorrow - 10-20" - and trash pickup is Monday. There's not enough room to drive 2 cars past each other on my street much less put out trash/recycling. I've already lost the trash barrel until spring (I gotta assume it's under the 7 foot tall drift) and one recycling bin got smashed to bits by the plow 3 weeks ago. Even if we only get the low end of the prediction, Monday morning is going to suck.
The JAB and ZK line have the same handles.
