See if you can hold it out a little farther next time.
Small fish > no fish.
No fish = my world.
Pretty much proves my point...![]()
Yeah she's doing better than you and me both lol. I think she's out fished me the past three times out. Might have to leave her at home next time just to get my self esteem up haha. Good luck tomorrow!

Blasphemy.
Good luck to you too!! Are you specifically after the northern, or just takin whatever shows up? I'm more of a walleye/perch chaser, but love the fight that a northern puts up.

I'm sure he was thinking just the edge would break off, which, of course, means he wasn't thinking too hard, haha. If you notice, on the second stomp, he stomps with both feet. Anywhos, not the sharpest knife in the drawer.![]()

Balderdash! I've been accused of such before.
In response, I offer the flatted-fifth* for your listening pleasure... (and possible eternal damnation of your soul, if you're into that sort of thing.)

*the flatted-fifth is simply a semi-tone down from the "perfect fifth", and a semi-tone up from the "perfect fourth" in the 12-tone system of Western classical music scales and modes. Both the fourth and fifth interval have been historically considered among the most consonant, lovely and harmonious notes in any key. Thereby, the most "holy".
The flatted-fifth (or augmented fourth, for academes; it's the same note) is dissonant and inharmonious to Western ears when played against the root note in the same key. It tends to invoke sadness, discomfort, and/or ire... especially in the context of a tritone of the root note, the flatted-fifth, and the octave above the root.
Hence, a historical, religious and political bias against it -- so much so that at one time playing it in any scale was actually outlawed and even grounds for ex-communication from various Churches. In Latin it was described as "diabolus in musica"... the Devil's Music. Scary stuff!![]()
Now then, for more recent musical history... the flatted-fifth, especially when played with/against the root note and/or octave as a tritone chord or melodic device, literally defines what we now call "blues", "jazz" and "metal" music. It is the quintessential "blue note" that has scared the daylights out of parents and authoritarians for a couple hundred years. Enjoy!
