That's some nice work you did on the stitching.

Good mornin here. Had a few drinks and wrapped some gifts. Gonna head to bed soon. Thinkin I might make a big pot of chili tonight.

Obvious reference to the end of Apocalypse Now, where the natives execute the calf with swords.

Technology on the march...

I have never even watched that movie.

I got about 100 little sharp-edged carbide cutting inserts for an old milling machine we don't have in our shop anymore. I was going through an old cabinet full of stuff that hasn't been touched in years, found a whole box of those things, and asked my boss If I could have it. He just said "Sure, if you got any use for them..."

Now I'm thinking about making some custom firesteel strikers. The carbide really lets you throw some mean sparks, plus it is hard enough to sharpen up your knife in a pinch. Would anybody be interested in that? I'm thinking about just sending a few of them over to Moose so he can put them into some future contests as little giveaways. What do you guys think about that?

Heck yeah I would love something like that! You get that BK16 yet?

ok, just nicked myself with my new knife. Glad that's out of the way now.

I'd be down to try one out. Might be kind of cool if you could mill/lathe some kind of handle for it.

That's what I was thinking. Turn a holder, mill a flat surface on it, solder the insert on and stick the whole assembly into a 6-faced aluminum handle that we have boxes full of at work.

I could even do custom laz0r engraving!

Gangnam style?

No gangnam here just my eyelits style

I don't have stocks in eyelits but I like to know that if I ever needed to relocate any of my attachments on my personal sheath, I have the option of moving it down anywhere I need it to be. I could space them out every 1-1/2 inches but then I would be stuck with that way of wearing my sheath. This one here is a leather tiger strip front I made and a kydex back with a hip carry loop

There's that dang rock again. You're taunting me!

Also, there's something in the way of the rock - could it be leather atop kydex? That would be a sweet accessory for ANY rock, but on this one it's amazing.

Just got a job offer too.
Congratulations!

I'm starting to get several calls for interviews and phone interviews myself. I'm quite excited about them. My fiancee was offered (accepted and started) a job at a city 100 miles away, so I'm working on finding a new career there.

And if you can't open your beer with a lighter or the spine of your knife, you shouldn't be drinking it anyways.
Amen.

That's sweet. I'm not surprised you like it. :)
Wow, MSRP is $175? I'm so under-charging.

When you have to pay lawyers to protect your trademark hole, your price goes up. ;)

I like your knives far better. Need to talk to you one of these days about getting one made.
