well it doesnt look like a light bulb......phonograph... sewing machine part.....steam turbine

There was alot goin on in 1878 with edison and alot others but i still have no clue what that thing is.....

So in the middle of all the break in's and crap around here my sisters boyfriend shows up, in a heavy dark jacket with a hood on, walks up to the front door, opens the storm door THEN starts messing with the electronic lock we have on our door. At this point im looking at the cctv system we have and cant make out who it is so I run up stairs to get my dad (and a gun). Once my dad opened the door the sack of shit pretty much fell in to our house. WTF? Seriously who the hell is this kid trying to open our door and come inside uninvited.

Damn.
 
it really does look like some sort of rotary planing device... not sure, but it's fascinating.

ETA: after a good googling, it bears a little resemblance to "router plane" but this looks neato and specialized???

A A Woods Adjustable Hollow Auger for making spindles and tenons and such. Been on the phone with him since I figured it out.

p.s. anybody tried using a 10440 lithium cell in one of them, I've seen a few guys getting some good results on YT but I'm not sure how that will effect the light itself (any electrically inclined Beckerheads want to pitch in on this one?)

I feed mine Energizer lithiums with no problems. It does seem to shine a bit brighter and the batteries last wayyy longer than alks, especially in that light for some reason.

As far as carry, I clip mine in my left front pocket like it's a pen, most people think it is a pen until I pull it out and use it.

What kind of items will you guys be looking for on craigslist now that the world is still turning?

I'm thinking MRE's and other things that won't last forever will be selling pretty cheap. If you stocked up on ammo, just seal it up. Not so much with 3 years worth of MRE's for 10 people.
