I dont find that idiotic at all. In fact, as botched as the coverage of recent events has been (along with the media's lack of decency to interview kids directly after a traumatic event) I think there should be a 2day hunting season in which all news/media staff are open game. Im boycotting television. I refuse to give those inhuman monsters any support---its all Youtube and Netflix for me....the news is always bad anyway--too depressing--and i hate reality tv

I was more pointing to the fact you should never point a weapon (loaded or not) at someone you don't intend on shooting...

BK5 is an amazing food prep knife. Been eating tomatoes, bread, and hard salame like there's no tomorrow. But you guys knew that already. Also, lithium hot springs are awesome.
 
Thinking about getting a Spyderco Stretch in either VG-10 or ZDP-189. Anyone have experience or thoughts with ZDP-189?

I really like the Military but it looks so huge I don't know how much practical use I'd get out of it.

I had the ZDP Stretch for a while and either traded it or sold it. For me I just didn't like the knife all that much. The steel held an edge very nicely, but it did take a while to sharpen it up. I had some rust form on mine where your finger contacts the blade when opening it, so it seemed to rust fairly easily. If you treat it with tuff glide, I think you would be fine.
 
Started my batch of Limoncello tonight to give out as gifts to a few family members. In 4 days I will filter out all of the lemon zest, combine with simple syrup, and bottle. 4 days is really pushing it, many recommend like 45 days as optimum for infusing the alcohol but they usually cut off strips of the zest, I finely grated it hoping to extract all of the oils from the zest much faster.

My cousin made some of that beverage last year. It was pretty horrible. Don't know if it was because of his recipe, or because I just don't like that taste of it.
Don't really feel like testing it a second time either. I'd prefer a shot of our home made blackberry jenever (don't know what it's called in English. Gin? Fire Water? European Wodka?) any day, any time.
