Snark all day

Slow doesn't mean underpowered. Usually it's the other way around. Even underpowered cars eventually go fast, trust me I had a 1996 1.6l toyota corolla... I was able to get it up into triple digits. But a powerful car that is geared for it while being slow will move heaven and earth.

Ah, sidearms. I am a 1911 fan, and there for, I prefer the SA XD45. Same grip angle. I've shot more 45acp rounds than anything else, except 22. I hit where I aim with both my 1911 and XD45.

I get large ragged holes at 25yds with both.

And, after spending time at the Walther booth at SHOT, I'll tell you this, the new PPQ has the best trigger I've ever felt, just short of my 1911's that I done the trigger job myself.

Holy crap, them things are amazing.

Caliber is quite irrelevant, if you don't hit where you are aiming. Hollow points that fill with anything but fluid/tissue, turn into FMJ's and well go just as far. The only 100% reliable ammo, in regards to expansion, is the Federal EFMJ (expanding full metal jacket), they rely on impact, not hydrodynamics to expand.

You want safe? Use the prefrag ammo that sky marshals use. They won't penetrate a plane's hull, but will still go through sheet rock. So will Glaser safety slugs.

Any projectile traveling at terminal velocity, will go through walls, how it comes out, on the other hand, is a different story.

Speed and accuracy are the only things that count, I can put 10rds of Minimag 22LR in a group you can cover with a soda can at 21 feet, as fast as I can pull the trigger. Anyone wanna get hit with that?

You still never told me HOW you got the P90....

i does not own a P90 :)

something like this:

mmm, i spy with my ePrey eye... a CinCinn era chrome machax. a bit pricey, but if you gotta has one ... you gotta has.

just sayin'

The AR 57 site only sells parts and the upper assembly, not the entire thing... I guess I'll keep digging...

it just occurred to me it would be awesome to use a lower rail over rail adapter on a pistol, and then attach THAT do the lower rail on a rifle as a forward grip assist ... and SECOND barrel.

but that's probably STUPIDLY illegal, at the very least counts as adding a stock to a pistol ;)

yeah, but it would be COOL :>

but illegal

oh well!

they sell completes. you order via your LGS.

typical price as i said previous with 4 magazines. awesome.

OR you just order the upper from them. since that's "not a gun" you can just buy it mail order.

then, you buy a GOOD lower from your LGS, either complete, or build one up. esp if you want to drop in a good trigger group - which i may do next year for lols. shiny red?

geez. there are two vendors, who seem to regularly, week after week, have old Becker stuff for sale. mostly CinCinnati era - seems they have a trunk load of the old epoxy stuff.

seriously, who ARE these people? for the year or so plus, they've been doing this... sometimes they even have a couple rare models, but mostly, it's like they scored a couple cases of everything, and well, the prices are enough to buy a house at this point ;)

dirt. i need DIRT. Ethan wants dirt ;) i'd imagine he'd like to know where suddenly a warehouse of old stock is coming from ;) i'd take a stab he did not make *one* cent off that stuff.

Ok, thanks for the info Bladite, just got one more question about the AR 57.

How comfortable is it to hold without all the toys you have on there?

As for the pistol foregrip idea, I've imagined it myself quite a few times, and I could see how many laws it may break, but it would be a hellishly awesome combo!

Took a look at the PMR 30, looks cool, but it lacks the smexiness factor, don't know why, but it just don't look like the BK 7 or 17 of pistols to me.

well, "all those toys" - the flashlight really is just a joke... the other stuff? there's nothing else on there except the strap (required for offhand shooting imho), and foregrip (comfort!). oh look, a reddot! ooh.

plenty comfy :) VERY light. love it.

the PMR-30 is soooooo unsmexy everyone made sells *snap* like that. pretty weird. huge fire ball. BIG NOISE. very low felt recoil. 30 rounds (25 is more practical to reliable loading). weighs 18 oz loaded.

one is expensive fun, the other is cheap fun.

Well, it looks like there might be a mag size limit here... The most "local" gun shop only sells the 5.7 (using it as a reference) with the 10 round mag. Gonna have to go check the laws again. I didn't see anything about handgun or rifle ammo limits, but I could be wrong, it's been known to happen once in a blue moon.

Edit;
Well, looked at the laws from a few different places, no state mag limits. So it makes me wonder why they are selling all their guns with blocked mags... Even the rifles... I guess I'll look at a less local place.

I actually already have a 10LE... I love it, it has gotten some use though. I let Clayton use it, when I got it back though it had rust all over it.
