Well I've been sittin in the dark for the last hour. I was working in the shop and everything quit. Go outside and the whole nieghborhood is pitch black. My nieghbor and I grabbed a couple of beers and walked to the end of the road. Someone ran into a pole. Ambulance, police, and firefighters where on the scene. Sure hope no one got hurt, looks like its gonna take them a while to restore power. Good thing I have a fully charged phone!
 
I passed my drill test and my weapons handling test!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I need a Becker small enough to fit in my pocket when I go to the course.

My buddy at my local knife store offered me a screaming good deal on a Fenix E11 so I had to grab it. Great little light so far. Wanted to add a little color so it would be a tiny bit easier to find at the bottom of a bag and I found that one of my daughter's elastic hair bands fits perfectly into one of the grooves that bookend the knurling, go figure:

Phone pic, GF misplaced camera (AGAIN). Pregnancy brain is driving both of us crazy haha.
 
Hit up a Target or wherever sells hair bands for little girls, they're super cheap and I like the light a lot better now with that bit of color. Many colors to choose from too. To each their own though.
 
I have a little girl and theres plenty of those things around. i will look for a dark green one.

I like that light a lot. its great size and bright enough for anything i need.

Sucks for you, but it still makes me chuckle that such a huge and internationally powerful nation like the USA hasn't even gotten around to putting their power lines underground.

I have proposed the same question for years. Especially with the increase in natural disasters, I would've thought this was a no-brainer. But I always get the same 2 responses.
A. Too costly
B The utility companies, their workers and their unions would never allow it because it would virtually be maintenance free and alot of lineman would be out of work.

Have you ever tried to pull lines through glacial till? doubt it.
 
Double post--FTR-not my opinions just what Ive heard ppl say. I am all for our advancement but at the same time I dont want anyone losing their jobs because of it. Theres not enough of those to go around as it is.
