That's some nice steel Dubz. I just cleaned the grind on my three dollar plumb hatchet. I was all set to get a GB wildlife hatchet, but I honestly don't think it would do any better than this old fella.

Man I love those old Plumbs. That cleaned up nice. Looks like the handle is in great shape. Is it still seated in the head well?
 
Where do you guys go to get your handles? I just picked up a Kelly double-bit head that I'll need to rehandle.
 
there are online purveyors, and a hardware store chain that rhymes with 'mace'.

House Handle, Tennessee Hickory, and Seymour Link all make decent handles.

Been studying a bit, about the process of HDR/tone mapping photos. This is my first one, and I think it turned out pretty cool. There's so many variables, that it's hard to choose which one is best. I'm sure you've seen tone mapped photos, they make a photo look surreal, to say the least. Here's a photo from Garden of the Gods:

good luck with the kid - consistency is the key. when the current regimen loses effectiveness, start a new one by asking her what kinds of punishment and rewards she thinks would be appropriate and build on that. offering a reward after xx number of days with no punishments is also a good way to encourage good behavior.

Thanks 1066vic, I have no problem standing up to someone that has 50 pounds on me but putting my foot down when she looks me in the eyes is a hell of a challenge. but ill keep up with it, today has been her best day in forever so hopefully it continues this way but if not changing it up sounds like a good idea.

hes not a douchebag,met him before,was a member of BFG cafe forum years ago,interesting place,hes a smart guy that puts himself in harms way instead of being a couch potato,being in dangerous places teaches you a thing or two about knives and defense,hes a cool guy to talk to...
